1 RespuestaBecause Comcast isn't assholish enough we gotta make them more so! As a Trump supporter I'm dissapointed in this decision.
-
1 RespuestaGhost Did your account get hacked? Net neutrality is a good thing. You are trolling I presume?
-
Editado por unknownuserh: 1/22/2017 1:16:13 AMAh yes, and essentially ISP's will tell us where we can and can't go. You can be sure they will deter you from their competition if net neutrality deceases. only people bribed by ISP's favor this.

2 RespuestasEditado por Elundis Core: 1/20/2017 8:33:48 PMDo you understand what Net neutrality is and why it's important? Right now everyone gets the same amount of "data." So someone like Google is getting the same data as Netflix. Without net neutrality, big companies like Comcast are gonna make other companies pay a lot of money to get the fastest data for its users, but then this puts everyone else that doesn't pay as much down in the slow data. What does this mean? This means that someone like Netflix is going to have to pay much more money to make their speeds for consumers as fast, or faster than what it is right now. This will translate to YOU, as the consumer, paying more for things like Netflix and what not. Educate yourself on the topic before acting like it's a good thing.

8 RespuestasEditado por EetnoAni: 1/19/2017 3:56:30 AMThe lack of knowledge about net neutrality on this thread is saddening. Throttling websites and businesses data based on what the provider of said data pays effectively dictates what the user views and uses based on how well it functions (regardless of what speed package he paid for as well.) Ending net neutrality ends the little guy and ends everything not backed by truckloads of cash. http://www.glowbugsandglassbulbs.com/the-story-with-net-neutrality/ http://www.nationalmemo.com/net-neutrality-better-analogy/ http://www.rahulroushan.com/2015/04/a-dummys-guide-to-understanding-net-neutrality-and-issues-around-it/ Please God damnit, educate yourself on this one. I don't care what political persuasion you are, you need to understand what this actually is. And government control of the Internet, as ghost seems to think, is not even close to the truth.
-
WAIT WHAT THIS LITERALLY THE WORSE HE COULD DO
-
4 RespuestasOkay so you want your government shutting down any site it wants?

Editado por Britton: 1/19/2017 10:38:33 AMYou need a Cox media deluxe internet package to view this comment.
that's the kind of shit you are advocating, except it will be entire websites.
You may like being an exploited consumer, but i prefer to get more for my dollar, not less.

Actually, no he's not. At least he hasn't fully stated if he will yet. I doubt it.

4 RespuestasNow do you accept that net neutrality is a good thing ghost? Because you haven't responded to this at all

----still has to do with speed ever had multiple people on one wifi? Basically same result
What are you talking about? "multiple people on one wifi" is still completely irrelevant to the topic. How many times do I have to explain to you that your connection speed is not the same thing as the traffic flow to a website. Traffic includes all incoming connections. Not just yours.
not an argument
And? Was that supposed to matter to what you were responding to in any way? You do realize that it is really stupid to pick out something that isn't an argument out of a post just to say "not an argument", right? What's even the point, because it doesn't accomplish anything. It doesn't change my post or my point. It doesn't mean anything to the conversation. I really just don't understand why you would bother saying something so utterly worthless.
----no they havent
You are flat-out wrong. They have. There have been a number of court cases and settlements between different service providers and the FCC/FTC involving net neutrality. It has been going on for years, despite neutrality being a thing. If they do it when they don't have the authority, what makes you think they won't do it when they do have the authority?
----I'm not being specific it could be a city or business honestly it's not important to my point. My language with computers sucks tbh
That much is fairly clear. But now I now for sure that you have no idea what you are talking about. You had a chance to argue that you were using the word "area" in a way that was still relevant to the topic, but using it to refer to a physical location has nothing to do with net neutrality.
-
I hope that's sarcasm, I really don't want huge American corporations controlling how I use the internet
-
1 RespuestaNo Ghost that is bad.
-
Editado por Vgnut: 1/19/2017 4:30:43 AMCome on guys. We need to end net neutrality in case we run out of internet! Seriously if you voted Trump or for Republicans you asked for this. They've made no bones about ending net neutrality. Fantastic. Now you can pay more for your internet service provider to stop throttling you.
-
Is this sarcasm? Or are you just that brainwashed to where anything Trump does is good?
-
27 RespuestasFor someone who regularly asks liberals for sources, you sure don't provide sources.
-
4 Respuestas
And you libs said he'd be horrible this is awsome! !!
No. This is just another reason why I oppose Trump. Why would you want corporations to control what gets put on the internet and what people see?
-
I'm still split on this issue, as far as gaming goes though we might be -blam!-ed
-
What's net neutrality?
