Now I'm on the hunt for Breath of the Wild, collector's edition. I seriously can't wait for this thing. Strong lineup of games, especially Zelda. By the way, one of the best trailers I have ever seen.
Let the haters complain all they want.
I don't know anyone who can complain about Breath of the Wild, except for my brother, because "it's anime."
EDIT: I'm under fire for saying it has a strong lineup of games. I didn't realize that Zelda is one of the only launch titles. However, it does have a strong lineup for its release window. Zelda is all I'll need to play for now.
By the way, I wonder how the Sheika Slate will work on Switch? This game was originally built for Wii U, after all...
In an interview, Reggie said that the 3DS would still have a long road ahead of it, and that the Switch is primarily a home console.

3 RespuestasI was gonna get one until I saw the reveal and realised Nintendo hadn't learned a thing from their Wiiu disaster. 3rd party Devs aren't gonna support a console when they have to basically make two different games for it, that model is just not financially viable for them.

1 RespuestaWhere did you pre-order the switch? I can't seem to find any. Btw if you find that collectors edition let me know.
-
5 RespuestasDid you pre-order the WiiU aswell and expected it to be amazing and all?
-
20 RespuestasStrong line-up of games. ... Zelda. Only one game that might be concidered a must-have. Only one. Literally. And it comes out for WiiU too. Strong line-up, he said. Good one.

Iv got a switch and Zelda on preorder. Im really hoping for a monster hunter title for it.
-
Not sure they made the right decisions with the switch. Really should have waited another year and then marketed it as the successor to the 3ds (which it basically is). Problem with releasing now is they just shoved a "New 3DS" down our throats less than a year ago, which I bought because my regular 3DS wasn't going to be able to play the SNES released games on the virtual console. Which is another issue because so far none of the virtual console games carry over from one to another, how many times does nintendo think I'm going to buy Super Mario Bros 3 or any of the other various games I have purchased on both my 3ds and wii. When they release a better model in a year with better battery life and more internal storage (32 gb is pathetic!) then allow our virtual console games to carry over, I will consider getting one. Best case scenario is this thing totally flops and they finally just start making games for xbox, playstation and pc.

Definitely excited for Breath of the Wild.
-
Let's be real here people. Even if you don't like the launch titles or the releases for the rest of this year. At some point a super smash bros game will come to this console in its lifetime, and that alone is enough to make me buy it. (Also I like the titles coming out this year.)
-
It's also got Super Bomberman R at launch. I really hope they make 1-2 Switch free at some point. That game screams Wii Sports 2.1, yet it's $50.
-
I got the last one in stock on amazon. the preorders only lasted 3 hours after the announcement it is crazy how few Nintendo released for preorder.
-
Basically just Zelda at release. I'm not really a fan of Nintendo stuff (blasphemy right?). I wouldn't like to see them fail though.
-
3 RespuestasMy friend went around and preordered a ton of them to flip on eBay. I told him that's kind of a dick move, but I can't really argue against someone seeing an opportunity to make themselves some money. He told me he'd sell me one for cost. Still considering it. I don't really care too much about Zelda, but Super Mario Odyssey has me excited.
-
Even if I was a zelda fan (which I'm not), a zelda game alone still wouldn't be enough to make me pre order. Nintendo should've waited until they had a strong lineup of first party games before they launched.
-
7 RespuestasThe day Nintendo makes a powerful, competitive console is the day I'll consider pre-ordering it. They need to ditch these motion controlled, mobile hybrid ideas and actually make a powerful console that can compete with PC, PS4, and One. The switch will be a flop; wait and see.
-
Hopefully I can I'm Friday.
-
I too am buying it for Zelda (never preorder). By the time I'm finished with that I'm sure there will be something else out for it to captivate me. For now, Zelda is all I need.
-
I preordered mine at Best Buy, can't wait till March 3rd!
-
Well, Zelda and like 1-2 games are the only launch titles. Throughout the year it's pretty strong though. Which I'd enough for me since I still got my Xbone.

Editado por irishfreak: 1/14/2017 1:26:51 PMThe sword looks awful, only thing that interested me was that snazzy carry case which thankfully can be picked up cheaper than the one with the statue.
-
Even by launch standards, the switch can't really be said to have a strong line-up. In fact, Zelda is the only one I know of that comes out at launch. Hope it goes well for you tho.
-
I'll pass on pre-ordering or waiting in a line for the Switch. It's like the Wii launch all over again, except there's no Wii Sports bundled with the Switch.
-
You are literally a brain dead Nintendo fanboy if you think they have a "strong lineup of games"
-
Dude come on, "strong line up of games"? I think you mean no line up of games. Zelda is it man. They need to wait and release this console in the fall with the new Mario game. I refuse to buy one when there's only going to be one new game to play. When there are some actual games out I'll buy one.
-
Isn't 1, 2, Switch the only exclusive game on launch? I think every other launch game can be bought on another console for less, even Breath of the Wild. If you like it, good, but I definitely wouldn't call it a strong line-up when almost all of its launch games are ports.

4 Respuestasi come in peace... have you used any console besides nintendo's for more than an hour?
-
4 RespuestasBarely more powerful than a wiiU. This will have terrible third party support . Over expensive and crap online / game chat policies . Typical Nintendo reveal , LOL
