You forgot to tell them to never use auto rifles

Thanks for the thread. This is my 3rd week on Destiny and I'm loving it so far. I don't understand all of the "you're too late" comments. I'm having tons of fun, though it is unfortunate that I missed out on some of the older raids.

To all new Destiny gamers. What ever you do do not fall for Bungie's RNG systems that has worse odds then Vegas. You will end up spending more time wasted then anything else in this game. Anything you get attached to can be removed at any given point and time with no real explanation or a heads up. This company does not respect it's gamers or show the appreciation that they deserve for the time and money that many have put into this game. - 1 if you want to know what it was like to be a Guardian. Look up y1 on how everything that was accessible to use to help you through your Journey and accomplished your task as a Guardian that worked across the entire board. It will show you the truth on how a Guardian was created as intended to be.... - 2 if you are wondering why the yellow watered down weapons, better known as an exotic are somewhat a challenge in acquiring. It's because In y1 they weren't watered down and they held a sence of value that gave an incentive. in this game. - 3 if you are wondering way this game has no story or a sence of direction with a company that created a game with no foundation. It's because the company had issues amongst themselves that caused developers to quit a year before the game was released, fired them or some just moved on to 343. A lot of this was do to the fact that the game was literally chopped up from it's original state a year before the game was released among many other things. The higer ups at Bungie decided to change a lot of things and by doing so the original writers that created Destiny quit. Since y1 this game has been nothing but a mess. Only leaving you to read grim cards to even know WTF is actually going on in this game. - 4 if you are wondering why ship that you seek that is somewhat a challenge in acquiring is nothing but a loading screen. You are dealing with a lazy company that after y1 when this game had content that had... A sense of exploration. Incentive. A sense of value. Decided when Ttk was released to stretch out that content literally for an entire year just to get them by so they can do the same thing with ROI. Ttk was 1 expansion that to fill in that void of missing content Bungie used Microtansaction timed events. When Destiny was released in 2014 you had the game with 2 expansion that kept a steady flow of content in this game and everything was relavent and worked across the entire board. When Tess was introduced into this game, she became the only vendor out of this entire game that was created with a rotational stock still to this day. Mighty nice of Bungie making a cash grab vendor more of a priority over every single vendor in this entire game huh? Bet you were wondering what the rotational time is on the vendors for lol. Don't worry about it, Bungie thinks you throwing money at a slot machine that has worse odds then Vegas is more important. - 5 the rewards gamers were trying to acquire in y1 were given to them when they dropped depending on their luck with the RNG that this entire game is based off of. Not this 20 different light levels to every single weapon and gear pice causing gamers to spend a shit load of wasted time spent in this game grinding looking for that god roll with the added bonus of the RNG. 1 drop and the reward was yours depending on your luck.on what you were hoping to get. Now you have 20 different odds against you with the odds on the RNG that has worse odds then Vegas. - 6 Remember them yellow weapons that are now a material for progression that 3OC caused to lose a sence of value. They worked better then legendaries but Bungie replce them because back in y1 Bungie said they were " game braking" legendaries workd as well across the entire board, Bungie just used their false statement in y2 that they were " creating a variety" as an excuse to reverse the role exotics had in Y1. Now them yellow weapons are nothing but a wasted of time grinding for. They hold no value... the only thing Bungie creating instead of making weapons compete with one another was making the legendaries your Exotics now. It bests the purpose on what they were actually created for plus making them somewhat a challenge is wasted time spent in this game know 3OC was added in y2. Now majority of the Exotics in this game collect dust in gamers vault space that it is the most asinine thing any company could have ever caused in their game because of their deliberate poor actions. See, in y1, [b] all of the exotics worked as intended [/b] with the exception of two weapons that any person with common sense could see if they actually played their own game that them 2 weapons outplayed their mechanics. [b]( Icebreaker and Ghorn)[/b] They never needed to be released as they were and if Bungie had an actual sand box that new WTF they were doing them 2 weapons would of been adjusted prior to this game being released. They were considered game-breaking but Bungie's nerf happy team didn't do one freaking thing about it when they had every opportunity to adjust them with the feedback that was given to them throughout that entire year. See, y1 was bate for the gamer to get them hooked to this game so Bungie could pull this BS they have been for the last year-and-a-half that will last until "D2" What was Bungie's solution, cap all of y1 and that means raid weapons etc at 170 and used them as a marketing tool a year later. Hmm, did they just so happen to adjust those 2 weapons prior to ROI that they could of done over a year ago? Nah! That would of been comon sense. Can't have none of that now can we. - 7 if you are wondering why light level has no purpose in this game. You are dealing with a company that thinks bragging rights is more important then actually giving light level a purpose. You want to know the truth? And don't ever let anyone ever tell you any different. You have not and will not ever need max light to complete anything in this game. Max light is a created illusion that you "need" to accomplish in this game or "need" to complete anything in it. - 8 if you are wondering why nightfall doesn't reward you. In y2 Bungie added extra crap to the loot table that makes that RNG odds a lot worse then y1. Got to love how Bungie finds ways to get their quota on wasted time spent in this game. - 9 if you are wondering why crucible is so screwed up. You can thank Bungie for using gamers that cried nerf as an excuse to make a lot of the deliberate poor actions in this game that caused so many unnecessary nerfs in every aspect of it. That you will never know what it actually means to be a Guardian that gamers were back in y1. You've been handed down a watered-down game that Bungie thought was more important to stretch content then to actually make a game. As of the result of their actions Tess with timed PvP events is Bungie's main focus that has cased a lot of the issues in this entire game. Leaving y2 gamers in a huge mess. The bright side of all of this. If you like the artwork, the feel of Halo game play you will enjoy some of it. But if you know this company and know what Bungie is fully capable of doing. You will tell them to get their shit together and stop toying with their gamers, stop this nerfing BS that has gotten way out of control that if there was such a thing called a Nerf capital Bungie's nerf happy team would be it. Tell them to make this game as it was intended and give the gamers back the Guardians as they were intended to be. Not this watered hand me down game, unrewarding, no incentive, no sense of exploration, no sense of value that gamers want back that Bungie took away...

Don't listen to all the nay sayers about the Crucible. When I first started, I was strictly PvE, and I think that's a good strategy for the first couple weeks or months maybe, until you find the play style that best suits you. I was terrified of the Crucible because of of all the negative talk. Well, I decided to try it and yes, I was absolutely destroyed for the first few weeks or month. Then you'll start learning the maps, start getting kills, and probably really enjoy it like I do now. I balance PvE and PvP. There are a lot of different modes in PvP, so you may love some and despise others. That's natural. My K/D is garbage, and people will try to throw that in your face, but I say f*ck em. Anyways my two cents turned into a two dollar bill. Just enjoy yourself and stay away from these toxic forums. They'll curdle your milk quick. Welcome to Destiny, one of the best games ever made...and they're still working on it. 😎

You forgot to add "avoid crucible" and "don't use auto rifles anywhere"

Here's a tip for new players. If you want to keep your sanity and not break your ps4 then don't play the crucible. Your time playing Destiny will be so much more enjoyable not playing it.

Or you could go threw all the quests an grind like all year one players like my self did. Let them figure it out on there own.

If you see a heavy ammo box spawn in crucible, grab it ASAP. If you open it your teammates will all automatically have heavy ammo so there is no need to wait. [spoiler]This is a joke....or is it? I feel like every random I play with seems to believe this....[/spoiler]

Palindrome and event horizon are the two best vendor guns imo Palindrome Ex Machina Dark Drinker is my go to for the raid

My question to you is I have tried numerous times by myself an w support to take out the taken champions even got them to show up get them down to 1/4 life an they just disappear can you explain this for me plz

Honestly everything I was looking for. I joined destiny a week after Christmas and in 3 days I got 300 light and finished tTK I've taken a break since but I've met some buddies who are teaching me raids--like the vault of glass--I personally don't like doing the story line. so is there any other way for me to get 400 light or is that the only way thanks.
