Either way, Habilis feels he need talk about why science important, why science not scam or conspiracy, why facts [i]right[/i], but [i]not[/i] absolute. Habilis sees that Flatman think the sun not big: that it small and close to flat earth, and that it orbit above like celestial flashlight. Flatman think this means sun can illuminate one half earth, while other half dark. But this not possible. Heres why: light has measurable intensity. In other words, it has strength. [/i] So whether earth flat or round, half of earth always is lit up by sun. Now, while number changes depending on several variable, the sun emits 98,000 lux when perpendicular (directly above) sea level. This much light. Even if sun is spot light like flatman say, its light does not become less visible just because sun move away from observer. If earth flat and sun move away while still shining down on flat surface, we should see sun at all times of day. Maybe at "night" flat earth have less light, like light during twilight or early morning. But flat earth would never have darkness, because 98,000 lux still visible even if sun is like flashlight and is 15,000miles away. Even if this far, light would still be visible at night. Habilis not know if flatman believe flat earth, or if he write about it for fun, or maybe he think writing flat earth makes people think. Habilis not super smart hominid, so Habilis not know. Even if flatman not crazy and have good intention, habilis want remind people that science fact is not produced by faith. Fact produced by observation.
