Ok. I honestly feel this gun was so hyped when it was new... and then it was immediately forgotten because it sucked. And it was useless.
Other than being able to switch how it fires, this gun doesn't really have any in-combat exotic abilites. For example, bad juju is a pretty standard pulse rifle if you can imagine it without string of curses, its exotic perk. String of curses is what makes it exotic. It's all in the perk tree. Which means the khvostov is really just a bunch of weapons in 1, because it doesn't really have an exotic... perk.

So what if you could have a way to switch what fire selection you could use (single fire, burst, full auto), while in combat? This would allow for some in-combat advantage, as an exotic should have, allowing for a proper fire selection depending on your situation. It gives off a good "rifle" vibe, especially because it is literally an old, modified rifle.
I'm sure this idea has been mentioned before, but there really shouldn't be any useless exotics. None.

Selective fire could be mapped to r3 (since it doesn't do anything anyway) to switch modes during combat. Together this would make it a viable exotic worth using. Even if God rolled legendaries could outperform it, its versatility would compensate for that.

1 RespuestaThe ability for the Khvostov to act as so many different variants [b]is[/b] it's exotic ability. It's just due to the games extremely bad balancing that it was forgotten so quick. Also I do agree that the variants themselves also need to be adjusted as well

Battlefield reference eh? Lol I like it. Now let's add in a built in sniper mode where clicking and holding down the right stick (like bringing out heavy) causes the scoping animation and BOOM! You got you self a sniper. While pressing the zoom in button. Clinking on the left stick will cause a rotation on the different modes in the current modes. Auto, pulse, scout, auto. At least this would be my version

I think this is what people actually wanted when they asked for this type.of weapon. I know it is what I expected. A lot of people want to know how it would work. It's simple. Hold left trigger. Then D-pad your options. Left - full auto Right - burst Down - semi auto This gun needs a complete re haul stat wise though. It's weak in every form.

I had a post like this before too Other than a combat selector switch i think they could boost the main magazine up to 30 so the 450 rpm bursts wont be so awkward
