Nice idea, but the worm gods and the ahamkara are completely different. It's implied in the books of sorrow that Oryx encounters the ahamkara and is angered by their "freedom", possibly they do not conform to either the light or the darkness. Either way hive worms can be seen on the dreadnaught and bear no resemblance to the various ahamkara bones we have seen.

The hive worms that appear aboard the dreadnought are larvae. The worm gods themselves are much stronger beings who are described as having wings and other dragonlike features. They also have identical speech patterns to the ahankara, and are none to make bargains just like the ahanmara. However I believe the worm gods and the ahankara are the same species, not the same individuals. (Sorry for the bad spelling)
