A friendly reminder that real life matters..
For the "destiny elitists" and the guys who just can't seem to do anything other than play destiny- remember that real life always comes first. Today I was playing and overheard a young dad send his son off crying because he was in the way of the TV when it sounded to me like his son (maybe three or four years old) just wanted to spend time with his dad. Not cool. Before you make a full time job out of destiny, make sure you have everything you need first, and if there are people that depend on you for something other than raiding or trials, be sure to give them the time of day. If you're the guy who overlooks your family for a quick raid- you're doing it wrong- and I will never care what your KD is.
Edit1: I find it interesting the number of replies telling me to mind my own business. Well that's exactly what I did. Instead of giving the guy a hard time I simply thought I would post here as a reminder that this game will never matter as much as your actual life.
Edit2: I'd like to add that this is one example of MANY. I'm a year one player. I could probably tell you 100 different instances over the years of flat out neglect. I personally know someone divorced because of this game. Please understand that this is not out of "assumption."

The 0.9kd dude telling you that real life matters. Because, as we all know, being good at a video game and being good at other things is totally impossible. My world is crumbling down.

Real life is boring though not to mention depressing.... economic depression, constant warfare, massive inequality, never ending division, and no reassurance things will ever get better? I think it is more fulfilling destroying others realities and being an outright douche to everyone around myself!

After that, all I want to do is game and if my wife or son can't respect that then they deserve to get yelled at. What kind of piece of crap person wouldn't let someone who works hard enjoy what they want without interference. My wife knows only to speak to me when I'm in orbit or in the social spaces. Other than that, she knows to shut up and watch TV/make dinner. My son (who is 5) is well behaved enough now to know to leave me be as well. I had to spank him the first time he grabbed my mic off my head thinking he was funny. Never again. He knows to stay in his room or with his mother while I'm gaming. it isn't about neglect; it is about proper respect for other people's activities. Edit: hahahahaha 85 replies! lmao i posted this before i left for work this morning expecting to rustle the OP's jimmies. I don't even have a son 😂😂😂

I feel you, once at 6 wins and mercy used in trials, I had to deal with an issue [spoiler]my dog pooped on the floor[/spoiler] so I got off my PlayStation and left my fireteam against a 2v3 against sweaties[spoiler]was during Halloween when wins were luck and I doubted we would win since my team was getting frustrated at everything and made a ton of bad plays [/spoiler] So yeah, life comes first

Enjoy the time you have with them while they're small, and needy, because eventually they'll turn into assholes, and hugs will inevitably turn into handshakes.
