You have no idea what that map even implies. Montana only has 3 electoral votes and that is compared to Cali's 55.

Kinda the point. It allows Montana who doesn't have a big population more say. And even then it's still just 3.

There's a problem with the system if you can get THAT many more votes and still lose by a lot. It wasn't even a close race, electorally. If she lost by a couple hundred or couple thousand votes in key states, I get that. But she didn't.

Editado por Dayman: 12/28/2016 10:23:35 PMPopular vote is not an argument when the system in place is meant to subvert that. In fact it's actually justification.

Because California has a population of over 39 Million and 55 electoral votes compared to 1 million and 3 votes for Montana? Why should Montana not get any kind of say in what happens to them because Cali has a denser population?

Right now, Montanans [?] have a higher value vote than me. If you need to have the scales tipped in your favor to have your voice heard, then there is something wrong with the system.

Wouldn't be saying this if the roles were reversed. Sooooo.

Doesn't having a high population density and more electoral votes also tip it in favor? The electoral college doesn't tip things in favor it evens it out.

The bulk of his electoral votes came from those states where voting power is artificially inflated by the electoral college. That tells you right there what the problem is. Our system does not elect who the American people voted for. It's very undemocratic.

Because those states deserve a voice too. You just want your state to be able to dominate elections and are made the outcome is not what you wanted it. You're not even presenting any arguments. You're just complaining about the electoral college doing what it was designed to do and the outcome wasn't what you wanted.

I'm not complaining because my guy lost. I'm complaining because the electoral college has AGAIN failed the American people.

Just pointing it out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just pointing it out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm not sure what you were pointing out. PS - my GUY did lose, I voted for Bernie in the primaries. :)

Yeah I kinda figured you had lol.
