Trials should be SBMM, competitive PVP should be nothing other than SBMM. That way you don't get players with 0.85 K/Ds going up against players with 2.4 K/Ds.
Everyone has 9 games of equally skilled opponents, that's a well earned 9 in a row wins.
Players who say ''you don't deserve the Lighthouse if you can't beat players much better than you'' only say that because their Trials stopming days would be over with SBMM in Trials.
How about you PVP Trials try hards earn your Lighthouse trip for once! Don't like the sound of that, do you?

I agree , but because of the lack of dedicated servers this wouldn't be a good idea , maybe for destiny 2.
-
I feel like that would be a bad idea because of the lag it would introduce. But hell. This last weekend in Trials I played against two of the laggiest teams I've ever seen. And I'm on fiber optic connection so I sure as hell know it wasn't me. With this in mind, I don't mind getting stomped by people who are better than me. But when I lose to someone who literally can't be killed and is teleporting all over the map? Naw man. That's the worst. Keep it CBMM. Sometimes it's just luck of the draw who your opponent will be. Yeah it sucks to get matched up with those 2.5-3 KD players who are top in the world. But hey that's Trials.
-
Lol it would be a complete lag fest. The fact that they match you with teams with the same amount of wins makes the game even. Maybe the first 1 to 2 matches should have a little sbmm mixed in.
-
How about you PVP Trials try hards earn your Lighthouse trip for once! Don't like the sound of that, do you?
You sound like an idiot. Do you even know how trials works? I've been flawless 45+ times and I've earned all of them. You must think people get carried or something. Don't be ignorant.
-
Anything a flawless guardian says is to be taken with upmost consideration and you all will value his / her opinion regardless of the circumstance . He/she will submit to no one and you all submit to their stats.
-
you clearly dont see his point do you?
-
Editado por JBO: 12/20/2016 2:47:57 PMI like this idea except it shouldn't be only even matches. Let's say first 3-4 wins you play even teams. Then wins 5-7 You play people with slightly higher stats. 8-9 You play people with a bit higher. This means you have to beat people of the same skill level, and push through and beat people a bit better than you but your average players never gets put against the top 1% guys.
-
This is a terrible idea. You do know that both teams can't be better than each other at the same time lmao
-
This idea is terribly flawed - all anyone would have to do is deliberately loose games etc until their skill level dropped and then get a virtually guaranteed flawless - all the streamers would deliberately allow their stats to diminish to as near nothing as possible - their jobs would be so much easier.
-
So, lose 200 games in order to win 7? Makes sense...I guess.
-
Absolutely does, most people wouldn't have to lose anywhere near that many. In this game each loss could yield random drops and that seven would grant access to light house loot.
-
If you play regularly it would take that amount, possibly more. You can't just go in and throw 10-20 games to have it drop you to pubstomp levels. It doesn't work that way. Another thing is it would affect their k/d, and you know how precious that is to them.
-
Yeah i think that would be handled. like once you are in a tier ou can only go like 2 below your highest.as in personal tier thing
-
You think? I don't - you could do it now and people do - creating alt accounts and things to pub stomp and then delete them and make another. Locking it that way creates another issue - many people share accounts with siblings etc - if everyone has to play at whoever is best in the house's ranking then they'll consistently get stomped. Problem is, Destiny is not a truly competitive game, it is no where near balanced enough, usefulness of weapons depends on rolls and certain subclasses outdo others in pvp. It wasn't really meant to be, that's why there are no ranked playlists or dedicated servers etc. Have you played titan fall 2 for example - balance is damn near perfect - no one is running around with a god roll matador with an advantage over anyone that doesn't have one the same. Bungie nerfed high cal rounds on mida but allow it on clever dragon, blind perdition, distant star (same archetype as mida but legendary and poss to roll with incredibly high stability) - people who do these kinds of things don't inspire a lot of faith in me. I want destiny to be better, I love the game but at the same time accept that there are limits as it currently stands. Hopefully, these things can be addressed in Destiny 2.
-
Every game with competitive/ranked playlists are Skill based yet what you describe doesn't happen at all for them!
-
Editado por Arthur: 12/20/2016 1:55:56 PMDestiny is its own thing though and I bet it happens quite a lot in other games, just not obvious - if someone actually wants to be/is the best then obviously they won't do that but if someone just wants to get to the lighthouse as easily as possible and they're not pro or good or don't care there would be everything to gain and no disadvantage to doing it. As you are aware - going by some of the comments you made underneath - there are already people who make alt accounts for purposes of stomping as sad as that is. If low stats meant an easy lobby in trials you think people wouldn't just let their stats drop to get into it? Also connection would go down the streamer unless bungie got dedicated servers prior to doing it.

Personaly I think Trials needs to be closed down, any game mode that breeds this much division and elitism is not healthy for a community. And let's face it, the worst part of this game is the community!
-
Ding. Winner. Winner-take-all compeititons DIVIDE communities...and their effect on them is corrosive. Which is exactly what I said would happen back in Spring of 2015 when ToO dropped, and I saw what people were wiling to do in order to "go flawless."
-
So because you don't like something it should be taken away from the hundreds of thousands that do like it? Grow up kid.
-
No. He's saying that Trials----as it is right now----needs to go away because of the toxic and divisive influence it is having on the community. ...and your reaction to his suggestion is a ***perfect*** example of that. But its likely to be moot point anyway. Trials is slowly dying. Dying more slowly than I thought it would when it first came out.....but it is clearly dying.
-
Forums cry about skill based match making in regular PVP, Bungie change it. You're some kind of idiot aren't you! What about the people that liked it? Muted for being a dummy!
-
@Z0et are you actually mentally challenged? SBMM was a huge problem in this game as there was no choice. It forced you to play with bad connections. Trials is a playlist! If you don't like it DONT PLAY IT!! Just because you suck at a gamemode (which you evidently do with your 0.9kd and 42% win rate) doesnt mean you have to take it away from everyone else. That's truly pathetic.
-
SBMM was a problem for a very loud, very prominent MINORITY of the community. ...and (like I predicted) even after the changes, many people are still having the same connection-quality problems as they were before. Hint: The more you rage at him. The more you insult and belittle him....the more you make his point FOR him.
-
Editado por Ve7n00m: 12/21/2016 12:20:19 PMTrials is a competitive game mode, EVERY GAME IN THE ENTIRE WORLD with competitive game modes have SBMM or ranked. I honestly didn't think you could get any dumber. It's bonkers to have SBMM in general PVP and not in competitive PVP! What is actually wrong with you? Oh I know, you're scared of getting your easy Trials flawless taken away from you, the thought of actually having to beat 9 teams that equal your skill level instead of the 3 or 4 currently makes you cry, got it! And do yourself a favour, don't be a stat douch as well as an numb nuts! I rarely play Trials, the amount of kills I have should indicate that.
-
What's wrong? Simple. Everyone loves to win....but very few people like to genuinely compete. Trials is the baseball equivalent of giving out World Series trophies to major leaguers teams for beating up on high school and college teams. Only someone who is TRULY interested in ***competition*** is going to see the problem in that. Everyone else? Hey, I get to have the rewards of winning.....AND I don't have to "sweat" too hard to get them. THIS IS A GREAT DEAL!!!! IOW, not much incentive to change the status quo, when the inequities of it break in your favor.
