So a few days ago, i made a post directed to krishna's prophet about the Eötvös Effect, an effect that "proves" the earth is an oblate spheroid. (The link to my original post can be found here)
Krishna, low and behold, did reply, and now i am faced with counteracting his argument. (His post is linked here)
Now, please sit back, grab some hot coco and popcorn, and watch the fireworks.
The Eötvös effect is a perceived the change in gravitational force caused by the change in centrifugal acceleration resulting from eastbound or westbound velocity. When moving eastbound, the object's angular velocity is increased (in addition to the earth's rotation), and thus the centrifugal force also increases, causing a perceived reduction in gravitational force.

The major problem with the Eotvos effect: it assumes that gravity exists and that
Let me stop you right there.
it assumes gravity exists

assumes
gravity

exists

Ok. Theres no denying it. If you throw something in the air, no matter what, it WILL come down. (Unless obstructed) Lets assume that gravity is not a thing and use your explanation.
magnetic fields
So, whatever force it is, gravitational, mass effect, magnetic fields, the force DOES exist. So, no matter what it is, it still behaves in the same way. So, no matter what we call it, its all the same.
But as the earth is actually Flat,
...
earth
-.-
actually flat
O_O
WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH.
You cannot just assume the earth is flat. You counter my arguments by saying all my evidence is based on the assumptions of the worlds shape.
You admit, you cannot PROVE the earth is flat. You just use evidence. I do the same.
If you have to assume the earth is flat to provide the smallest hint of logic, therefore all evidence you use is invalid UNLESS....
you can find evidence based on the flat earth theory.
That being said, I would like to ask ifarted69 a question: if the Eotvos Effect is so prevalent, why dont we notice it when driving across America in either direction? Why doesnt the supposed west to east 1000mph rotation of the ball earth not effect the Narmada river in India, which flows AGAINST the earths rotation?
A) you should have opened with this
B) simple.
When you are in a car, moving at say.., 75 mph, and the car turns left sharply. You perceive to be thrown to the right. When in reality, your velocity, (75 mph) has a change in direction. Your inertia path is altered, causing a seemingly "throw" to the right.
You do not notice you are currently moving, relative to the orientation of the core of the earth. The Etövös effect describes how path north and south change the end vector of the direction.
(Yes i know that probably didnt make sense. Im tired)
So there ya go krishna. Theres your answer.
