It's like we're having two different conversations. I keep saying the pricing is out of line with the value of the items, and you keep pointing out that you can afford to put in the money. So can I. That's not my objection at all. But it seems clear you either can't or won't engage on the subject, so have a good one man.

Nah you just keep giving me your opinion as if I should just chew it up and swallow it. I simply disagree is all. I think the value is fine. If i put some money into a slot machine, it's OK. I damn sure don't want someone over my shoulder telling me it isn't worth it or that I should spend it some other way. If I am financially secure, how can YOU tell me what a bad deal is or what ISNT worth MY money? Do you pay your own bills? lol

You're still just saying "I can afford it". You honestly think it's reasonable for a company to expect you to pay half the price of a full game for a few cosmetic items? You really think this is a defensible pricing scheme from a company that has already sold their players a base game and multiple expansions? Stop telling me that you have enough money to pay. SO DO I. Tell me why this system is fair and should be supported. Tell me why it's better than charging a small event fee for everyone and reward players for their effort in the event. Tell me why it's better than non-RNG micro transactions - directly purchasing the actual thing you want - at reasonable prices.

You're acting like a kid who's not getting what they want. Hate to break it to you but Bungie isn't your friend. Bungie wants your money. They want my money. They want everyone's money! Whining about "fairness" is ridiculous. It's REAL simple...if you don't want to buy what they are selling, don't do it. But also don't assume people who DO spend their money on this game need to defend themselves for doing so. Just play your damn game dude. Or don't. Whatever works for you.

I'm honestly interested in your opinion. If you like the system as it is now (which you admittedly have not said), I'd like to hear why. Maybe you see something I don't. I'm not telling you how to spend your money - as I said, it's yours to waste. I'm talking about the system. I explained why I don't like it and I suggested alternatives. I asked you to explain your (inferred) preference for the current system. You called me a child. If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. But next time just say that.

Alright. Why do I support this system? Because it helps pay for future events/updates like this one. The majority of Bungie's developers are on Destiny 2 now. After over 2 years, this game isn't exactly raking in the $ on new game sales and DLC downloads. The community still has demands...and lots of them. Eververse helps pay for the team that overlooks those demands and it supports the devs who push the content through. Sure, Bungie is a wealthy company but what other income do they have at this point in time? Shareholders need to see consistent profits or they pull the plug. Tbh though, I would have thrown them $20 just for adding the new kiosks and strike scoring system. I don't mind supporting a game that offers decent content. Feel how you want about it, but the people who "throw money at the screen" are the only reason there is new content at all.

I don't disagree that the people making games need to make money. But between the expansions and the everyday existence of Eververse I don't it it's necessary to run holiday events this way. GTA Online drops significant content all the time without charging for it. Overwatch's winter update this year lets you earn as many boxes as you want. And there's the oft-cited example of The Witcher. I think we can and should expect better, and I think it's been proven by other companies that better systems do work. But as long as players continue to support the status quo in Destiny, we're stuck with it.

Sorry dude but Im not reading more of your stuff. Im pretty sure it's just going to say something about it not being worth it again. That's cool. Don't buy into it then. I also spent extra to buy my truck in Pearl White instead of regular white. Think I care if you agree with that or not? Nah. You can have your opinion, for yourself but don't force feed it to me. lol
