Question for those that don't subscribe to the "meta"
I'm curious what weapons people love and find great that aren't what the forums like to claim you "have" to use to play PvP.
Personally I've found a setup I love for the first time in over a year
Primary: Chaos Dogma
Secondary: Darkblade Spite
Heavy: Bolt Caster
I'm actually shocked at how good Chaos Dogma is in PvP even hip firing. It's just so accurate and is the best sniper counter I've had since HoW.
So what gems do you use and love that others don't appreciate enough?

And also 4 bodyshots to kill most guardians except max armor, giving it the highest body ttk out of any scout rifle.

2 RespuestasI'm still rocking my Uffern HC4. Screw Weisnewski and his hatred of hand canons. Got a really fun Panta Rhei that I like for most situations. And my Quillim's. My self-loading bringer-of-quick-ends.

I find that Auto rifles do quite well still in certain situations, other favorites of mine include fusion rifles and sidearms as well as Pulse rifles all depends on the environment for me

3 RespuestasThis last IB I was using: Lyudmila-D Pulse rifle = Headseeker \ Counterbalance \ Hand Laid Stock Thesan FR4 = Replinish \ Braced Frame \ Rangefinder Objection IV = Counterbalance \ Smallbore \ Rangefinder I don't really worry too much abaout a "meta". I just tend to use a gun I feel comfortable with at the time. It may be a Grasp \ Clever Dragon or Righteous VII or it may be The Lingering Song, Parthian Shot, Tuonela SR4 with max stability. I know, using all these different weapons usually means my playstyle is all over the place but oh well. It's just a game after all. LOL Have fun guardians.

Sure I haven't used white, green, or blue weapons in a while. I am however often using legendaries that I just got for the hell of it, so that means I often run weapons that are basically whites. That's because the gun is not leveled, let alone upgraded with the perks once they are. Armor is a bit different but just the same in that way. I still do quite fine at that also. So for those of you actually making a build I envy you in a way. I don't have the time to commit to the game for that. Also if you haven't guessed I have no recommendations as far as certain weapons go. I can tell you what type of a weapon I like and that's about it. The only perks I make sure to go for are icarus, and hipfire together on a gun, and orb health replenish on helmets. That's it. The meta is there for people to read to far into and be used as an excuse if you are playing poorly. Get over it and just play I say.

2 RespuestasMonte carlo (its honestly not that bad, and it still is the most beautiful gun in the game <3) I have been enjoying fusion rifles. My thesan is fun, and telesto is the best-o for trolling apes or just for pretending its a needler. (Although snipers will always be my go to) Any machine gun, rockets dont grant kills like mg's do. Just let my team do the work, sit back and wait until the other team does the same, waste their rockets like fools while i mop them up, one by one :) swords are a rare thing for me, only when im truly just screwing around.
