[b]I hug her back with my one arm. I slowly lift her up.[/b]
"Come on. Let's get you inside."
[b]I carry her inside, and sit down on the couch with her still in my arms. Well, arm, but you get what I mean.[/b]

[i]Iso sobs into Grant's arm without speaking a word.[/i]

[b]Jackie eventually showed up. She got up on the couch too, hugged Iso as well.[/b] Me: "What in the world happened to you, Iso? What's got you like this?"

[i]Iso tries to speak, but nothing comes out when she opens her mouth.[/i]

Jackie: "Grant... Just give her a second." Me: "Alright..." [b]I hugged her close.[/b]

[i]Iso cries a while longer before sniffling.[/i] "I-I....Charlotte...."
-
Me: "What did she do? Did she hurt you?"

[i]Iso shakes her head.[/i] "She she....I-I think Charlie was mean to her s-so she lashed out at me..."

"Oh. I'm sorry. I'll have to talk to her."

"She's my sister. I should talk to her."

"And I'm your father. I should talk to her too."

"I....Am I useless, father?" [i]Iso changes the subject.[/i]

"No, Iso. You are not. Whoever told you so is wrong."

"I-I have...no powers anymore though...Bedlam and Gabriel died because of...." [i]Iso starts to cry again.[/i]

[b]Jackie's face goes blank.[/b] Jackie: "Bedlam's... Dead?" Me: "Listen, Gabe knew full well he could die. I did too. So did everyone who went with us to save you."

[i]Iso hits Grant's chest.[/i] "I could've saved them!"

"No. You couldn't have. Not Gabe. Gabe was my fault. I should've pushed him out of the way."

"If I had my f*cking powers!"

"If you had your powers what? You weren't even awake yet."

[i]Iso covers her face with her hands.[/i] "I-I....I could've fought. What if there's another fight? I'll just be someone in need of protection..."

"No, Iso. If there's another fight you're staying with me. Jackie is too. I have arrangements."

"Arrangements? What are you talking about?"

"Arrangements that if we get attacked again Ry will let us stay in her ship until it all blows over."

"If I'm running around and get into a fight there may not be time! And what about Charlotte, Arty, Charlie, and Chuck?"

"They'll be allowed too. Except for Chuck. Ry hasn't forgiven him for what he did to Beta."

"When did he ever meet Beta?" [spoiler]That's uncanon because the story never finished.[/spoiler]
