This game is actually playable again! Even iron banner is great. I'm not getting matched against full fireteams every game, and the ones I do I actually have a chance at beating. Great job!
Edit: if you are claiming the game sucks for you now post your speedtest.net results and where you live.
Edit 2: apparently some people are unaware of the update

2 RespuestasSooooo how much are fans throwing at the screen on Tuesday? 200$...755$?

1 RespuestaWrong speed test !! You need to run the UDP test not the TCP/ip test

4 RespuestasIs this the matchmaking you refer to?

1 RespuestaI have noticed better connections in matches and have actually been playing pubs over trials because I've been having more fun. I think the update was great and hopefully everyone else is having the same experience
-
I haven't noticed a difference in connection from other players. I have however been getting paired into lobbies with players who have more skill than me almost every match. Some of the sweatiest clans, and top streamers are finding their way into my matches consistently. I guess that's what they meant by making the skill gap larger.

2 RespuestasI was making fantastic progress under the old system, lots of fun and no complaints. The new match making? Love it! Why? One reason and one reason only - the multitude of whiners/complainers on here are getting exactly what they asked for. Bungie's solution is perfect. Give them what they want. It's been very revealing and the results can't be refuted. I'll freely and openly admit that it's great kicking these folks in the pants for a while. I know this won't last, and that's fine. What's going on now though settles the score. Love it.

3 RespuestasEditado por wilco490: 12/11/2016 7:05:04 AMSorry, i dont fully aggree with this one yet. I'll explain. Yes i see less redbars, however.. there always seems to be 1 redbar in the other team.. and more mercy rules then i have ever seen before in crucible matches. This needs more testing for me in other playlists before i give my final opinion

2 RespuestasThe biggest change i've noticed is longer matchmaking times. It takes a LOT longer. And i haven't noticed much improvement in the connections department. So i think it was better before. At least i could get into a game quickly even if there were a few laggers.

Editado por Vespid: 12/12/2016 4:44:14 AMNew update feels great! 100% agree. I have come across the occasional pleb stomp, as have I been destroyed. Both Bungie anticipated but definitely better than the red bars! I assume people complaining about increased bad connection probably are running their Ethernet through a potato too so.... Looking forward to what they have in store for the Dawning! Plz no pay wall tho.

3 Respuestas"I do I actually have a chance at beating..." Ha Ha yes, a random chance... I have personally seen: 1) Longer matchmaking times 2) More mismatched matches (some for, some against my team). Given Bungie predicted both those outcomes I'd say it's working as designed. Still seeing red bars in matches so that's not been eliminated. But Rift is an odd game, because the usual shooting skills are not the most important thing. Running fast towards the rift while avoiding other players, using cover and dodging their fire is. So Rift isn't probably a great test of this since matches easily go one sided based on being matched with people with an atypical Crucible skill set. However I guess we won't really know how this plays out until the playerbase stop playing Rift and go back to one of the game types that emphasize traditional shooting skill more.

I just think bungo painted everyone's red bars green and opened up the skill bracket

2 RespuestasI think iron banner should be sbmm being endgame but anyways
-
No it's not

2 RespuestasAnd here's how it went down for me... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/219361004?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GR3xzY1t84s Glad it's working out for you but not everyone else.

1 RespuestaI've noticed zero difference. If not worse. I haven't played one game since the update where I haven't had to try my absolute hardest and still lose. This has been the most unfun iron banana since launch.
-
I know it's so great, more red bars, yay

Played a lot of IB this weekend, both solo and in fireteams ranging in size from 4 to a full 6. Worst connections were when I was in one team of 6, but a different team of 6 was fine. Solo queue and when in a smaller team, the connections felt crispy. Overall positive, but I'm reserving judgement as they launched this during an IB week.
-
I agree 100%! I've been having a really good time with pvp again. There's still some laggy players here and there, but nowhere near what it has been for a while.
-
1 RespuestaI'm guessing the people who don't like this update have slow Internet connections. I've had alot less latency in my games, but I've also gotten more mercy medals yesterday than I have in 6 months.

1 RespuestaEditado por Mr Fats: 12/11/2016 4:44:19 PMI was not aware of the update however, I was surprised during this IB that I was winning so many games and that most of the games were actually enjoyable. In fact, this has been the only IB that I am still playing even though I have completed all my bounties. So I am pleased with the update, not sure why so few of us are though.
-
I agree, the changes were much needed. I rather get stomped by someone who is more skilled than me than someone with a red bar who is teleporting around the map.
-
The pub-stomping is real lol
-
This is the first IB that I've been matched with members of my Clan that live all in my country. Random players were mostly from my country as well judging by gamertags and other clans names. The only times I've experienced problems where when matched with partial fireteams that where clearly connected from outside my country. Probably also because one of them was the host.
-
2 RespuestasPlaying my alt hunter yesterday put me into allot of already in progress games with no hope to win after heavy has already dropped. Even went into a match and lost as I was flying in.
-
I've been noticing a very similar trend to the old matchmaking before the SBMM system was introduced. I'm consistently coming top of my team, but I still end up losing most of my games (talking about 6v6 specifically) So there seems to be a wider range of skill level across the team. I honestly prefer it, cause it means I get more kills.

I never expected the update to 100% stop lag not in destiny.
