Give high impact auto rifles a small buff, would you kindly?
I have a stellar Pest Control Matrix, which was a high impact auto from House of Wolves. Unfortunately, with the auto rifle update from The Taken King, all high impact auto rifles have been sitting in vaults, emotionally abused, or even worse---DELETED.
I am just fighting for weapon equality. And let's be honest, how many of you would rather see "Pest Control Matrix" or "An Answering Chord" on your death screen instead of "The Last Word" or "The Clever Dragon"? Think on that.
Final edit: I now see that this forum post is dropping on the trending list, which means that it does not have long to exist before it becomes irrelevant, so let me just say---I am extremely gracious for everybody that took part in this discussion.
I read over 200 comments and replied to many of them. In the process, I learned. A lot.
I didn't even think that I would get attention, which is why I inserted the Bioshock reference :)
Hopefully, I made an impact with this forum post. If not...expect a riot.

4 RespuestasTry Genesis Chain, or Khovostov..... low rof's do work (plenty of Suros in the IB this week). They just require a different style of play but yes, in a straight up "who shoots first" you will likely lose to a high ROF pulse or hand cannon.

Focus Fire on high-impact autos is one of those perks. It fires slower than DIS-47 and does 11 less damage on a headshot. They buffed FF on SUROS Regime. It remains absolute trash on every other high-impact auto. It needs to go away.

I think our guns are transforming, evolving. my doctrine of passing just morphed into a clever dragon... high rate of fire pulse rifles and high rate of fire auto rifles are the same thing, thats what I've learned. but high impact auto rifles and high impact scouts are really suffering. they take skill. I was teamed up againts a colovance's duty in Iron Banana yesterday and got destroyed. I had the exact same roll he had and played like he did. It was unimaginably hard to play that way. they are absolute gods (Regarding high impact weapons) when played correctly. but the crucible is in a state of absolute misery. I have seen a lot more Fusion rifles though. thats starting to get into the meta recently. I'm happy for that!

2 RespuestasYou can't really make auto rifles viable without making then over powered. Its very difficult because since you only have to focus on aiming rather than aiming and shooting, they're inherently easier to use than most other weapons. Take a look at what happened with doctrine.
