Adaptation yes. Evolution no.
What do you think happens after generations and generations of adaptation?
-
Eventually the thing adapts as much as it can and is either fine or dies.
-
Nothing.
-
-
Depends what they are adapting to. But it will still be the same animal. It's genes have not changed. Just it's survival traits and mechanics. Probably the most well known adaptation are the Galapagos finches or "Darwin's" finches. They are still the same exact bird. Only thing that has changed is it's ability to survive.
-
Your genes are different from your parents. All individual organisms have a unique set of DNA that makes them, them. Genes change every generation. Fact. After enough change you get a new species.
-
Those aren't the same exact bird though. They literally are genetically different.
-
Perhaps I was a bit too specific. It's beak and maybe digestive system would be genetically different. But it's still a finch. Not an eagle or buzzard, a finch. It adapted. Didn't evolve.
-
You don't seem to know much about how DNA works. They are in the same genus, or even family, but they are different species.
-
Well actually they are the same species... But the genus is different yes. But to be honest it really comes down to splitting hairs on how you perceive evolution. And it's 2am and I am so very tierd. If I can manage to stay awake I'll try and continue this. So don't hold it against me if I stop responding.

Please excuse one missed placed letter.

It's more of the fact that that word was misspelled.

By switching 1 letter. Please do try and forgive my dyslexia. It tends to rear it's head from time to time.

Ah so it is. Guess it's not a good idea to debate at 2am. The mind get befuddled.
-
The classic, "I was tired, so it's not my fault I was wrong. Give me 8 hours and I'll be right."
-
Or well you know, I was actually tired and went to sleep. Or maybe that's just to darn hard to believe.
