Man. I hope D2 has a subscription fee.
So Bungie can afford to hire folks, keep content refreshing constantly/frequently & can hold events that don't reach into our wallets.

And to cover costs of dedicated servers, servers we wouldn't necessarily need with most of the salty NEETs who can't afford to cash in their GBP for a monthly subscription to Destiny AND their chicken tendies
-
Why they're already a billion dollar company. They should already be able to hire a team that gives consistently good content on a regular basis.
-
So a continuous method of reaching into our wallets. Moron.

They do have people working, just right now they are working on D2 not D1. That's pretty much been the situation since D1 was released. From the sounds of it D2 will have far better developer support, but seeing is believing.

"Hey guys, we are super focused in the next thing. But still give us full cash for this dlc, because we're bungie. We made halo"

i prefer this to subscription. i have spent hundreds of dollars on destiny. if it went subscription i would not spend the money. infact i would not play destiny 2 if it was subscription based. i like the choice to buy or not to buy. i like how its not forced. thats why i donate money.

The way ive seen it, Destiny has been subscription based since TTK dropped. Think about it. You CAN play but if u dont buy the yearly expansion then you cant do anything relevant. Cant even participate in most things. And all these events they have are "free" as long as you have the most recent expansion which pretty much is serving as your subscription. Idk, just how ive looked at destiny since then

Maybe in terms of PC games and typical mmos but with console games no. Don't know wtf ur playin lol I can't think of very many console games that exclude u from activities that u had access to prior and make the entire game not worth playing if u don't have the most recent content
-
They wouldn't. They know as soon as their content dies (like now), people will unsubscribe and be done with it till the next major update
-
Not that I'm for subscription, but the idea is there wouldn't be a content drought, they'd have a steady income of funds to pay for much more frequent content updates and releases
