Ever consider the possibility that you keep playing the same guys because the player base is decreasing?
People like to make sbmm the sacrificial lamb now a days, when the simple fact is the player base is dried up.
The filthy casual has moved on guys and all that is left is the tryhards playing each other and not even cbmm is gonna change that!
I'm sure by now Bunnie has heard our crys for matchmaking preferences, and hopefully they will incorporate our feedback (like my personal deal breaker, dedicated servers) into D2.
Until then...it is what it is!
Grab another game and get your sanity people!

The player base hasn't dried up. Its just spread out over too many playlists (14).
-
Mayo, it is SBMM that is the problem. You can't fix a decreasing player base overnight while you CAN fix SBMM overnight. Like, they can literally fix every single issue in 60 minutes including server restarts.

Thank you for this reply. It should be bumped right to the top.

Riiiiiiiiight. That's why Tracker had the numbers yesterday at almost 600k for pvp and 800K+ for pve. "dried up" ?? As for the times whey you get re-matches with the same group - - it's fun because the match was no doubt a close one. Only the folks that want to stomp noobs and want easier matches will disagree. End of file. The so-called "issues" are always, always blown out of proportion on this board. The solution is simple - leave if you don't like the game.
-
Ok, then 600k tryhards playing each other complaining about sbmm...my bad. And yes it has dried up from the casual players pov. To many good games to choose from right now, that does not suffer from inheritant p2p problems. They have these new things called "dedicated servers". Your solution is the answer and the problem...can't you see that?
-
SBMM and this meta are the result of dry ups.
-
This is false. It's a 3 year old game that is stale af. Only people left are the very dedicated or people just picking it up because it's basically free now.
-
I refuse to believe the player base is that low. The matchmaking system is failing it's job miserably.
-
The amount of users has fell through the floor buddy. I've been here for a very long time and this could be the worst I've seen it. That's the truth man.
-
You're barkin up the wrong tree there capt'n. I've been here since the beginning yr 1 and know about the mechanics/history and progression. Bottom line - ALL of those who complain want easier matches. End of file. There are plenty of other FPS games where it's much, much easier to dominate and get easy kills. Go play one of those fercryinoutloud. Leave Destiny alone, it shouldn't be like every other FPS out there and/or dumbed-down the way most of you whiners want it to be. Vaya con dios
-
Willakkuma, you realize Destiny is the most dumbed-down game currently in existence right? I mean, there is hardly a skill gap.
-
No. The bottom line is we're sick of crucible. The match making is just a fraction of the problem that is currently wrong with how crucible plays and needs to be adjusted. No one is stating that top tier players should play people just getting their feet wet, anyone thinking that that is the request is -blam!-ing delusional. Horrible lag, having to go full throttle all the time along with the shitty meta that we're in along with all the random glitches (blink strikes short stopping, shot guns being inconsistent, one archetype of weapon being the most viable, and melees not doing damage but applying burn damage) make it unenjoyable to play. Crucible NEEDS adjusting and anyone who can't see that is just covering their eyes/ears saying "lalala" trying to drown it out.
-
Top Tier players should be able to match people who are getting their feet wet for the first time. This is essential to any game. How can people look up to the top tier players if they never met them in a game?
-
It's discouraging to new players to get stomped like that and not be able to do anything. I understand your point, but it's not fair or right. Players need time to get acclimated to game modes and play styles before being thrust into such matches.
-
Bub, I haven't "whined" one bit. Just stating what seems obvious to me. And while your little company policy of "like it or leave it" may give you some sense of gratification, it is like I said the answer many have turned to. This platform was designed for last gen consoles and is in many ways inferior to many of the new titles we have to choose from today. I'm a realists pal, and my solution is to wait for D2 patiently to see what gets improved. Not expect the wheel to turn backwards just because I don't like something regarding a 2+ year old title that has had its run.
-
Pretty sure you have whined a lot
-
If you say so pal...you know me so well, right?lol
