So I just found out that Destiny runs a 10 tick system for pvp connections, that means every second the system is pinging you 10 times a second, now you may think that sounds alot but other games such as overwatch & battle born run 20 ticks most competative online games run at 60 ticks,CS:GO runs at 120 ticks.
Thats why you get so much lag from yellow & green bars,if you have a stutter in traffic flow the there isnt enough ticks to counter it.
10 ticks is an absolute joke & should never be taken into a p2p game mode.
Edit:
P2P has no place in competative PvP in the first place
Yes I know this a very simplfied way of explaining it but point stands.

While based on P2P its far more (unnecessarily) complicated. Skip to page 88 where he specifically states that Destiny runs at 10hz. This link is an article on Reddit explaining the impact of tickrate regarding Destiny. Everyone read this! You'll feel better about sucking in Crucible And this link also from Reddit is great for those who don't have a clue about tickrate, latency, interpolation etc. A general info dump that will bring you lot up to speed. If you can be bothered to read through the PDF, then the last link at least. You will truly understand why Destiny PvP is a mess.
