HEAP is High-Explosive, Armor-Penetrating. There's a solid cap that punches through, and then the charge in the top of the bullet goes off. API is Armor-Piercing Incendiary, where there's an incendiary charge with a penetrator dart under it. Tungsten-core's self-explanatory. Ball rounds are the regulars. But if you're really looking to cause serious destruction, the green-tips are the best.

That's a Rauffoss Mk. 211. Marines use them for the Barrett and the Ma Deuce. That single round has a tungsten dart, an incendiary compound, and an explosive compound all together. It's used as an anti-armor round, and as far as damage and kinetic impact are concerned, it hits like a 20mm.

I'm personally not a fan of mag-fed handguns. Too easy to jam, and very few are chambered in the magnum cartridges. Clarkson seems to trust his, and I think even Wilson's got an old .45. When we get back to the Vertibird I'll do some digging. [i]He said. Wolfe had always favored revolvers. Powerful, reliable, and good-looking. His father's was a beautiful weapon, his own matching it. He'd been practicing long enough that he could hit targets firing them one-handed even without the exosuit. Then again, his were only .44s, not a .500 magnum like Wilson's, but somehow, Wilson seemed quite alright firing them with one hand. [/i]

Kinda grew up with a military family, two if you count Clarkson. [i]He said. Pressing Kyr he figured was not a good idea. She respected his boundaries with his dad, and thus he respected hers.[/i]
