So one day I was looking through my Rise of Iron Record Book, to see what I needed to do to make it to that final emblem.
One of the things that stood out the most was the incentive to play Trials.
I audibly sighed after seeing this.
Now, look - I'm fine with crucible, I'd even say that I'm pretty good at it sometimes.
But I don't play it regularly, or for fun.
I am, most of the time, a PVE player, which you can see by my stats saying that I've spent my most time in Patrol.
Look at my K/D. Yeah. Not high, is it? 0.55. Pretty bad.
But honestly, I don't care. I'm not Kjhovey or Datto, someone who needs to uphold a reputation.
At least, I didn't care until I looked at the ToO recruitment forums for the first time.
It was jam packed with K/D requirements more than double mine!
And this is my point: Trials is not accessible to new players.
I have no hope of being flawless unless I get picked by a streamer or something.
Now you could say that I've had years to complete trials, and that's true - but it's never been an ingame requirement until now!
I want to experience trials, I want the loot, but my skills apparently aren't good enough, a flaw in this game that comes into play for no other part of Destiny.
(And yes I am expecting 'Get gud' replies)

I said on the group that I made on LFG.net that I just need anyone to get 3 losses
-
Not a top notch player but for gear/wep I go onto lfg or forums and post "390 titan lf a group to do trials bounties" bam there ya go. guns, armor, bounties, and new friends easy day

11 RespuestasSame, but the more annoying and common thing is that when you join a post to do anything, they don't invite you. And when you message them for an invite they proceed to go get another teammate. I mean why? I've done the raid 11 times! Why did you go get that 350 noob to do hard mode? It doesn't make sense! Some people are just a******s. When it comes to raids I've got all the requirements sorted out and complete. But no one invites me, it takes me about 30 minutes just to get an invite to the party. After joining about 50 posts!

3 RespuestasI hate trials with a pasion, but I still got this record in the book. If you read it closely, it says you need 5 "Completed" passages. Doesn't say wins, or x wins, or x kills, or win x matches. Just says completed passages. I bought a passage, fired up LFG and looked for team members that wanted to lose quickly. We spawned in and proceded to jump off the edge every round. Lose 5 rounds, its real quick thats 1 loss on your card. 3 losses that way counts as a completed passage. Rinse and repeat. No one needs to get gud for this one Easy peasy! :)

6 RespuestasEditado por Zelrons: 11/7/2016 3:22:54 AMFirstly, practice makes perfect. If you play PvP more you'll get better at it. If PvP is not something you want to spend your time on you can seriously just get two friends and quit spam your way through five cards. Second and more to the point, yes people have unreasonable requirements but that's to be expected. People want to win and go flawless so they ask you to be a PvP god so you can help them win. It's no different than people demanding you be 385+ for normal Raid. On the other hand did you even try making your own post? Last week I played Trials for the first time and made a post saying as much, and was only a 376 to boot. I had two higher level people join me in like two minutes. Take some initiative.

You don't have to go flawless for the rise of iron record book. You just have to finish 5 or 3 cards which you can do by losing every match.
-
I was in the same situation just found a group on lfg got wrecked for five cards to never touch trials again
-
Trials is not and has never been an in game requirement.
-
1 RespuestaNice bait there mate
-
There are a bunch of people in the same situation. Just do trials with them. Basically find a group that that wants what you want. All you have to to is go on lfg, post in casual section and say: lf chill group, i am not that good, just looking to do some passages to complete the book. You will find a group and your book will be complete.
-
Just so you know you can lose the passage ie 3 red dots and that counts as completing the card. It doesn't mean you need flawless or 9 wins
-
Step 1: create your own recruitment group Step 2: there is no step 2. People will join your group and you can do what you wanted to do.
-
The book requirement is to complete 5 passages. This can be done by achieving 9 wins on 5 passages, 3 losses on 5 passages, or a combination of the 2. If you're like me and not very good at pvp, just go in and lose 3 games on 5 passages. Book requirement complete.
-
Umm just get 3 losses on 5 different cards. Done
-
2 RespuestasYou can just coinfarm 5 cards. You don't have to get 9 wins.
-
Just make a recruitment post saying I want to complete games and cards in trials for the record book. Have zero requirements, jump off the edge of the map if you really want to. I'm sure there are 2 other guardians with similar needs.
-
Make your own post with no requirements and just play to finish the bounties...
-
1 RespuestaJust wipe on the trials games
-
1 RespuestaI was looking for challenge of elders and had people requiring 395+ the shot is stupid
-
You don't have to go flawless for the book just complete cards.
-
1 RespuestaIdk if you know this but Datto is actually pretty bad...
-
There are PLENTY of posts looking for trials groups to do bounties with. I find a group of that sort within about 5 minutes of posting for one. As for flawless, you're only shot is obviously a carry but that isn't Bungie's issue. No problem being a PvE player. I was strictly that until trials came out and I got into PvP. Just don't expect for the PvP side of the game to cater to such a player. ESPECIALLY the end-game PvP content...
-
You don't need to win at all, just make your own group and throw 15 matches. I still need 3 cards myself, so if you want Id love to lose some trials games if you're on ps4
-
Why is it that people can't figure out how to create their own post when it comes to LFG? Why do you feel that you are only able to reply to what is there? Make your own post, make sure you put that you're grinding card completions for the book, and I guarantee that you'll have several hits looking to do the same thing after a minute or two. EVERYONE is free to write whatever criteria that they choose in their LFG posts. It's their post and their Fireteam. If they want everyone to have a chicken that will be ritualistically killed during the heavy round, they can do that. You don't have to reply to it.
-
Actually. Flawless rums before rise of iron don't count. I used to go flawless back in the golden age of trials in year one. But those runs don't count towards the book. So no, we didn't have years to complete it.
-
The Record book requirement for Trials is just to finish a book 5 times. You don't have to win. You can lose 3 matches and still get a check mark. Regard fellow player with a horrible kd.
