This anwer is very poor. It only cover for someone who lost their items by their own doing. What I'm saiying is that the armor materials are gone, no by my hand but probably by an error. Could you send (or check) an activity log of my 3 characters and see what happend. Lastly, if you gonna give a copy/paste anwer in the future, please at leats, assume that is your own fault but still your doing nothing because you aren't capable. Thanks... for nothing I gess??

Point being Bungie doesn't fix stuff like this except for the extremely rare case. So to answer your question, you probably won't be seeing those materials again.

Editado por Gohan: 11/3/2016 3:31:04 AMSorry dude for giving you an actitude. I thought your anwers was an official bungie anwer. My bad :( Please acept my apologies.
-
It's no problem friend. I'm really sorry about what happened to you. If there's anything I can do feel free to ask.

None of this covers items that are removed or deleted due to in-game malfunctions or official Bungie app usage or otherwise not induced by the user, either accidentally or not with later regret. There is almost certainly a detailed account activity log somewhere under Bungie's authority - at least any reputable company with such a developer-favored policy does - that shows when I character received an item, when they used a synth, when a quest was accepted, if an item was put into the vault, etc etc. If it shows that the user had accidentally deleted them, then that's the user's liability and the policy should apply. However, if the log shows that user:Xxxxxx acquired, for example, the Sleeper Simulant but it disappears and no further log afterwards shows that it was ever dismantled or infused into another weapon, then that very plainly shows the user was not liable and the item(s) should be restored to the last logged setting.

This is exactly what I am asking for.

Editado por ADragonWithin: 11/3/2016 2:50:05 AMThe above doesn't cover it, but this does for characters, just not items: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12240 I've no clue why everyone always posts the other one when someone feels they didn't delete something. Bungie really needs to expand their help articles to include things so people don't get confused having to assume or assuming things aren't the same. Sadly, there's no help article for 'things gone missing' but they use the same policy regardless. If you're missing something, and it's not a known issue, then you're out of luck.

Editado por Milk: 11/3/2016 3:11:04 AMI've always functioned under the belief that Bungie will not restore lost items. I've been made aware that a player may have had his restored due to having someone who shall not be named abuse share play, but outside of that I haven't heard anything. I posted that Because I thought that the General rule was that if an item was missing or deleted then it was gone forever. I apologize for being incorrect.

Editado por ADragonWithin: 11/3/2016 3:12:39 AMOh, no, your thought process is fine, Bungie has the same policy, no refunds, returns, freebies, or replacements for anything that goes poof for whatever reason, unless it's a wide-spread issue on Bungie's part. Bungie also has a game-share policy -now- for people to protect it, as if someone else messes with your data, it's on you and they will not return or replace anything lost because of it. That policy may not have been there previously, though I've not found any actual proof aside from heresay of 'soandso had them fix his/her account.' So it's perfectly fine to continue functioning under the premise that Bungie won't do it, because they most likely won't. It's just that the help article that everyone uses as the go-to specifically, by word, mentions dismantled or deleted, which immediately makes people say "But I didn't dismantle or delete it! So that help article doesn't work!" Thus why Bungie really needs to work on their help articles a bit more, lol. It'd help so much with this type of situation.

Kermit was the one abusing share play. In that case, bungie did not restore any of the gear destroyed due to kermit's actions. It was other guardians who helped the player out that had his gear destroyed. In any event, bungie has a strict no restore policy for any reason.
-
So can this player get his armor or no? I always thought the answer was no.
-
No restoration of missing/deleted/stolen/you-name-it items/characters. This is bungie's policy. Just imagine how much restoring bungie would have to do if everyone who deleted or lost something wanted it/them restored. Luckily, the materials are easy to come by with all the drops and can even be bought. I know this probably isnt the answer the poster wants to hear, but it is the answer. Sorry.

I thought that was the case, I'm trying to be a helpful community member and just want to be sure I have my facts straight if I'm helping.

For sure

Has there ever been a case of an item going missing in game that Bungie replaced? If so please tell me since I want my information to be as accurate as possible. I also wonder if they could use the method mentioned by you to make sure that a user isn't nearly making this up to get additional materials.
