The introduction of swords was largely seen and is (in my opinion) one of the best things Bungie put into this game. With TTK they pushed sidearms and they drop frequently. There needs to be more purple variations on these bad boys as well as a raid version. Seriously. Kings fall should've had a hive inspired sword and WoTM should have 100% had a sword infused with siva. Give the WoTM sword a perk which gives you the ability to reflect/destroy those tracking headshot orbs, or when you kill fallen the chance to create one of your own. Sorry for long post let me know what you think Guardians!
Edit: a lot of mixed reactions, after reading them I kinda think either:
1. Give us the use of splicer dreg/captains knives
2. Give us a siva infused version of young wolf's howl. There is images of iron Lords falling near the replication chamber welding swords. Why not use them??

Voracity of Siva. Resembles the black diamond shaped objects, but extended into a blade. Guard: Consume, blocking with sword only blocks a small portion of damage, the blocked energy is converted to charging the sword (does not function in crucible, blocking in crucible with no ammo rapid loss of health) Regular attack: Enhance, each strike returns a small amount of health to the wielder. Kills return more health. Super attack is "Replicate" where you thrust the blade into the air and summon similar to Aksis a solar based swarm of nanites around you. Nanites follow you and do continuous dot to anything inside the radius. Kills by nanites will heal weilder or if health is full replinish some sword ammo. Blade does not break. However once it hits zero ammo, it consumes it's weilders life force instead. Can manage one 3 strike combo, a fourth strike will kill you. Using the supper attack when there is not enough ammo will cause you to be consumed by the nanite swarm you summoned. Use of block while no ammo in crucible will cause significant health drain...

12 RespuestasThey didn't put in swords because the raid weapons are Cayde-6's weapons stolen by the House of Devils in the Cayde's Stash mission during The Taken King. Currently, the weapon foundries of Hakke, Omolon, and Suros do not sell any sword archetype weapons nor do they sell a sparrow. So, logically and in respect to lore, it would make no sense to have a Siva-ified Suros/Hakke/Omolon sword if the foundries never sold a regular one in the first place. Plus, since the House of Devils stole Cayde's stash before TTK (before swords were introduced), swords couldn't of even be stolen.

Problem is the legendary swords are virtually all the same with different skins and elements. Give them unique perks and they become exotic. No point in releasing another reskinned legendary sword.

HERBA MACHINA~ Looks like a black Young Wolf's Howl with bits broken off and the handle has SIVA wires around it, then when it is upgraded those broken off bits are filled in with SIVA cores and wires run from the top to bottom of the sword. No iron lord symbol on the sword, but a SIVA symbol where it was. Legendary sword Can drop with any element Drops from hard mode Aksis Phase 1 Same stats as the other legendary swords Perks: Crowd control, one scabbard, *insert element here* forged guard, and Quick Control. Quick Control: Killing an enemy increases sprint speed and lunge distance for a short time.

Should be a Raid Axe Quest.

BECAUSE

1 RespuestaAgree, but I would modify the sword with a recovery boost to health instead. SIVA is about creating and regenerating, so let it regenerate a Guardian's health with, say, a 25% boost and make it exotic.

The one thing that REALLY pisses me off here is the incredibly missed opportunity to have an exotic quest for Radeghasts blade. Maybe even a legendary quest. He has an artifact of the weapon, a piece of it that states: "So long as this sword was whole, The Iron Banner could not be broken." The leader of the Iron Lords, remembered for his STRENGTH, so he's arguably the strongest of them all. A memory of him gives the ability to block things with a sword. This would have been the perfect chance.

Siva Edge Intrinsic perk: whirlwinds curse Tempered light, Scabbard x3 Siva forged guard: most effective against splicer/siva attacks(ie tank siva overload w/minimal damage)

A raid sword wouldn't make sense. Plus, you can deflect the headshot orbs. Using the Memory of Radegast, you can deflect them and they will track enemies.
