Forgive me, but it seems like if you're a proficient player, and the game is matching you with players far less skilled than you, that means that SBMM is not happening. Consider:
A Skirmish with Regional Matchmaking should be expected to turn out like this:
MachoMan123 - 21 K - 6D - 3.50
CharlieHorse - 6K - 15D - 0.40
Beavis3232 - 3K - 14D - 0.21
RumpRoast - 20K - 7D - 2.86
CheezyPoof22 - 11K 10D - 1.10
Oddish43 - 4K 13D - 0.31

In other words, you had two experts, three cupcakes who did little more than get humiliated, and one guy who was OK, nothing amazing.
A Skirmish with SBMM, assuming it works as intended, like this:
Matilda556 - 15K - 14D - 1.07
CornButt - 13K - 13D - 1.00
TowerOfPower - 9K - 11K - 0.82
PicklePuss - 17K - 14D - 1.23
WeazelBall - 13K 12D - 1.08
Jax65379 - 8K - 11D - 0.73

If you want to fight alongside people at your level, you should be saying: "SBMM needs to come back!"

My netduma constantly showing me it's blocking people from Mexico. South American. Europe. Africa etc... tells me it's definitely not connection based.
-
>netduma You probably shouldn't openly admit to cheating on the game's official forums.
-
Editado por xDOOM CREW INCx: 11/4/2016 2:42:13 AMIt's not cheating whatsoever, do some research. It helps everyone in the game play lag free. Plus I shouldn't even have to spend $200 just to have a lag free game.
-
Sure it is. Rather than playing against everyone in the world, you're playing against a subset of your choosing. It's already been explicitly stated that avoiding matchups you don't like is cheating, and that manipulating the network is cheating, so you probably shouldn't admit to doing both on the official forums.
-
Bullshit. Just because you want an even playing field against green bar players does not mean you are cheating. You are not choosing individual players to play against, you are just specifying a minimum standard of connection for gameplay. From there, destiny takes over with regular matchmaking, which can override your netduma settings anyway, unless you have strict mode enabled, but if destiny chooses a host outside your filter with strict mode enabled, you will get booted.
-
Netduma is not cheating. its an additional geofilter, which still connects you to people outside the geofence unless you have strict mode on, in which case you risk booting yourself from the game. The router is aimed at providing a better connection for your matches, which in turn means your opponents will have better connections to you as well.
-
Apart from the opponents that have no connection to you at all, you mean? If I live in Bumsley-on-the-wold, and I set it so I can only play against people from Bumsley-on-the-wold, and I'm the best in Bumsley-on-the-wold, and I always win, that's cheating, right? So the most you can say about blocking opponents outside an area larger than that is that it's less cheating, and less cheating is still cheating.
-
If the best players are in Australia (which they are) and i live in USA, I don't get matched with them anyway by default. Just because bungie does a broad filter, does that mean using bungie is cheating?
-
You've still not explained how "less cheating" becomes "not cheating". Is that because you can't?
-
its not cheating. level playing field and good connections all round.
-
Network manipulation, and not playing the opposition matchmaking wants you to play. That's cheating, and Bungie has said explicitly that that's cheating.
-
Move to a city. Not my problem
-
You can block them, but if destiny decides they should be host you get kicked. It's not worth using strict mode for destiny and that is also what netduma recommended

I'm all for playing players at my skill level. It's how I'm going to become a better player. I shouldn't be forced to play sbmm. If I get home from a day of work and want to relax with a few of my " not so good " friends and play some crucible I should be able to play some public games that are cbmm. If I feel like sweating then I join a ranked playlist. Sbmm needs to be removed solely on the fact that it creates so much lag. If it wasn't for the lag and latency this game would be -blam!-ing great. Instead it's just a frustrating game that we can't stop playing.
-
But how did FlufferMyNutter do? You don't talk about that in your little theorycrafting Rekt
-
how the hell does oddish43 do so bad smh
-
Because I suck butt at PvP. Another reason why I support SBMM. It ensures that I get spanked some of the time instead of all the time.
-
lol dudeee im weak
-
Poor Beavis got his ass handed to him LOL
-
If you know Beavis, you know he'd probably think that was funny... "Heh heh heh... hey Butt head... heh heh... this guy just handed me my butt, heh heh heh. Butts RULE!"
-
lmao didnt even see he did worse oops
-
The problem is this. In order to hit your second model the game matches you with people from all over the place resulting in almost constant matches verses people who have awful connections I HATE SBMM for this reason. I can't take Destiny PVP seriously for this reason alone. I hold a 2-3 KD in every other shooter I've played. Including COD, CS 1.5-1.6, Battlefield 4 (infantry player) playing competitive conquest and 5 vs 5 domination game modes. Destiny needs l dedicated servers and a regional SBMM match making system.

But, they don't want that. You will rarely hear bad or mediocre players complaining about this...because it doesn't make that much difference. We do okay or get pub stomped all the time. The good players whine about this...because the can actually lose. Who wants to have to try to win? And you will hear, "Every game is a sweat." This is only true if you care whether you win. Again, the good players. The rest of us lose often enough to just move on to the next game. The only thing I agree with here is that we should not be matched against full teams. But, I don't know how that could work. The teams might wait forever for another full team. It does suck when it happens, though.
