Hello Bungie, Today I am writing to you about cheating in Trials and what should be done about the cheaters but first a story. It was a warm Monday evening when DaMasta256 went online. He knew Trials was around for a few more hours so he decided to get with some friends and see if they could go Flawless. The first few matches were a success with good fights and even better tactics. That was a swell, until his team ran across three particular players. [REDACTED] This trio was unlike any other DaMasta256 faced that night. A Warlock, Titan, and a Hunter of great power. In the first few rounds it was impressive. Flanking, callouts, and great weapons are in their arsenals, that was until my team started to lag. A teammate of his called out his screen freezing. Soon enough, DaMasta256 soon experienced a screen freeze for 3 seconds. Followed shortly by another long freeze. Right after it was over, DaMasta256 knew something was wrong, not with software, but hardware. My controller wasn't working. Buttons were mashed, the home button was held, and the reset button was pressed to no avail. However, I could still hear and talk to my teammates and complain about the problem. I tried several times to bring up the home screen and my character menu. Nothing worked. It seems at though the enemy deployed a third party software to mess with my controller and it worked. I had to go two full rounds and watch as my teammates were slaughtered right before my eyes. What really convinced me the other team was cheating was the fact that they left the match as soon as it was over. I'm certain their party leader had his triangle button held down as the last kill appeared on the kill feed. After a hard reset and a system restore, I was back online with a working controller. The message I had hoped to get across was that something needs to happen quicker and more frequently to cheaters. It seems as though the problem is ignored and the general community left to suffer. Only if a major person of the community like Datto or MoreConsole or Enraged Cin. does a problem get addressed. Essentially, this stuff needs to stop ASAP otherwise only cheaters and people who are too good will be playing Trials in the future. Your friend, DaMasta256
