SIVA is derived from Shiva, the God of destruction, creation and regeneration in Hinduism. Which is exactly what SIVA does:
Destroy (like it did to the Iron Lords);
Create (it was made by Clovis Bray to build colonies beyond our solar system);
And regenerate (like it did to Aksis and the fallen Iron Lords in the last campaign mission).
And if you take a look at the dormant SIVA cards, there is always that line that somewhat seems to be a command that says: ~consume enhance replicate~ which, if you think about, kind of have similar meanings to destruction, creation and regeneration.
This makes so much sense now, it isn't an acronym as many may have thought.
And this is very plausible since Bungie always turns to mythology/history to pick names from for characters/places/objects in Destiny.
And btw: I'm sorry if this wasn't really well structured and just all over the place, I really just wanna get it out there for people to know. Thanks for reading :)

SIVA is basically the Flood from Halo. Except SIVA only physically attacks in a cutscene.

1 RespuestaShort version of Siva: Rip off of the Borg from Star Trek. Added twizzlers as a product endorsement. Expect Eververse to be selling twizzlers soon.

5 RespuestasI honestly think a Bungie Dev was eating twizzlers and another Dev decided to put them in the game as a DLC. Take a good look at siva and tell me it doesn't look like oversized twizzlers.

Glad someone gets it
