BEST TRIALS EVER!!!!! Never go back, please!

This is EXACTLY how trials should be played. It really shows what team can control the map better and work as a unit. We made it to seven wins for the first time in year 3 tonight and plan on making it to the lighthouse before it's all said and done. THIS is true 3v3 competitive multiplayer. And not having to worry about guarding orbs is a fckn blessing. When you're dead, you're dead. It's so fun when it comes down to 1vs1 and you don't have to worry about revives and that bullsht over shield. BUNGIE PLEASE NEVER CHANGE TRIALS BACK! Edit: 1:10 pm Sunday afternoon we claimed ultimate victory.
fck yes
• I actually agree, keep it exactly how it is. I really enjoy it, it seems a lot more competitive to me. Went flawless on two characters last night, ran 3 cards and lost a total of 3 games.

  • I'm sorry but I do find it funny how many trials players are complaining that they can't make it anymore lol. The actually good players are saying it's even easier and still going flawless

    • I dont usually like trials but the no respawns and no radar has made trials a pretty fun thing to play.

    • It was fun. Sure people still camp, but now they can't just eyeball the radar. And if someone is doing carries.. Take him out and the other people die pretty easily. The no radar is fun. I've literally walked up on a team of three hard scoping a hallway and punched them out.

          • But all the "pros" are gunna cry now cuz they can't handle rushes or no radar and they're losing for once. So unfortunately it will never stick if the streamers don't like it.

              • I like this style of trials ppl complaining about shotguns are probably those snipe only players. I bet money if it was widows court those same crybabies would be camping with snipers. Trials has always been about who can snipe the first off first. Like you trials pros be saying get good and adapt

The no radar is great. Now even players who think they are hot shit fall to my scrub ass since they cant eyeball the radar every 2 seconds. It felt so good to sneak around behind a team of snipers and literally punch them all to death :)

                  • I got wrecked last night but still liked this Trials more. I see a lot of crybabies complaining about noobs with shotguns around corners. Guess what? Falling for that repeatedly means you're NOT GOOD and have BAD TEAMWORK. Just because you can rush with high light and expect to win, doesn't mean you deserve to. This makes you have to truly operate as SpecOps team, tactics or death. The better teams won't have an issue and will thrive in this format. Solo carriers will have a hard time.

                        • I agree that it does take more teamwork because call outs are more important in a game type without radar but doesn't reward individual skill as much as having radar. If someone on the team misses a call out you do not have a radar to make up for the teammates mistake. Radar helps you watch flanks and you don't have to rely on a teammate to call out every little move. So yea a lot of people that are not very skilled solo have a better opportunity to go 9-0 this weekend because they can take advantage of the no radar and hit flanks with a better success rate. Its pretty much who ever catches someone off guard first will win the round and this happens more often due to the lack of radar. In a radar game type both parties can see what direction the enemy is in and in this situation it all comes down to gun play and skilled players do not have to rely on teammates call outs as much to excel in the game type due to having a radar.

                        • 100% agree. Auditory cues, map control, and flanking are all part of it. Its a shame some people dont like it because its all "luck". Its not it requires skill and camping strats no longer work. Sorry streamers if you cant adapt to a higher skill based game mode. Keep this bungie! It a ton of fun.

                        • For everyone who is mad about trials this weekend and to those who say it's for no skill players, that's pretty funny, people can't camp and just watch there radar and they have to be aware of there surroundings. Destiny is the first game I've played where you get a radar in a elimination style of game play and to me a radar is for the cry babies

                          1. Communication now is the biggest key. If you see someone, you have to call it out now. 2. If people camp, go to cap point and camp the shit out of it. Communicate so you know where the enemy is when they try to collapse, and watch three different entrances. 3. Don't be afraid to rush. You don't know what's in front of you just as much as they do. 4. Sound whore the -blam!- out of everything. You can hear any class boost all the way across the map. Footsteps aren't too quiet either. Turn that volume up. My personal tips, coming from a decently skilled player, not the best though.

                        • To Bungie: Great job! Finally, Trials seems worth it! All this time, you have been giving out end game rewards without end game effort. In one move, you fixed everything that is wrong with Trials. Every week should have different modifiers. If nightfall gives the same drops, they should both have modifiers. Grounded, chaff, small arms, exposure, specialist, catapult, etc. would make it fresh every week and show who the true champions are. They will show up in the lighthouse no matter the changes. Different weapons will start to show up in different weeks and play styles will have to change. To those that make others feel bad because they "aren't good": Since the beginning of Trials, we have been GIVEN top light rewards in a PvP mode of a PvE game. That emblem we flaunt was won against other people that were worse than us, but that doesn't make us awesome. We are basically only playing elimination for top light rewards. If you have an issue with Chaff, you aren't as good as you think you are. Trials should not be where anyone goes to play. Normal crucible is for that. Only the elite should be in Trials. Just like not every player completes the raids. I know you are so full of yourself that you are going to try to come at me with some clever response. But, deep down, you know I'm right. If there was a person claiming to be great at raiding and when heroic Wrath raid came out, he/she couldn't do it, they aren't that good. But there would be no public outcry to change the heroic raid. Having an issue adapting to any change in the game mode that you think you are so good in, means that you are wrong... Not me. Also, if you are complaining, you are the best example of what is really broken in this game. For the record, this is not written by some crucible elitist. I am terrible in the crucible and probably have an overall K/D of 0.87ish. These are just the unbiased facts.

                        • Before any of the elites come at me reminding me of my .38 trials kd, my .72 overall crucible kd, and telling me to "get gud skrub" I'd just like to put it out there that I don't play trials competitively at all. Year 1 player, been to the lighthouse just twice, and now I only play trials with my friends to get the bounties done and hope for an armor piece higher light than what I have. Furthermore, I much prefer PvE to PvP in almost every regard. And I also prefer Iron Banner to trials (unless it's rift). Good. Now that I've got that out of the way, let's review. You guys right here on the forums have been moaning and groaning for a year and a half that trials is always the same with a different map, begging Bungie to change it up so only the best can go to the lighthouse. This weekend, they removed the radar, making it more challenging for you to find your opponents, and removed revives making it more challenging for you to just rely and being res'd by your teammates if you go down. The way I see it, there are two people who get really hurt by the switch up this weekend. The weekend trials streamers who rely on trials carries to maintain their viewership, and the kids who come into their streams looking to get carried. For a year and a half, I have seen these carries take place where 1 guy does all the shooting, and the person being carried is just told to stay back, revive him if he goes down, and call out where they are when he dies. In many instances, the person being carried is more useful to the "team" dead instead of alive. But yet, here we are, reading comments on this thread about how this is the easy version of trials. Yet who are the biggest complainers this weekend? It's not me, the mainly PvE player. It's not the people who think this change up is fun and exciting even if it is probably just a one time thing. It's the streamers who give carries, and the elites who only want them to be able to succeed in trials. Why not just enjoy it, and "adapt like all good players do". Judging by the salt in this thread, it sounds more like you guys ran away pouting instead of adapting. Slightly unrelated, but still sort of related. Think on it a little bit. There's a really good tip I learned from someone a while ago, and it reads: "It's just a game. I've got nothing to prove."
