okay for God's sake. shotgun warriors leave the forums please
shotguns are way out of control. and snipers are underperforming.
in their effective range shotguns are nearly impossible to counter with a primary, especially on cqc maps.
however, snipers can be countered by tickling them once with a pulse rifle?
we have created a meta where sprinting around the map jugg shotgunning is a viable way to hit top score.
meanwhile if you snipe your primary game has damn well better be on point??
buff snipers
buff close range primaries
screw all shotgun warriors

Screw all shotgun warriors lol is someone a little salty? Sorry, but with close range maps, primaries are supposed to cause high flinch on snipers, and shotguns will be more common. Simple enough

I remember taking a break from Destiny back in May when literally everyone on this goddamn forum was complaining about how OP snipers were, and now I come back to find that they were nerfed and people are complaining about shotguns again. Why can't you just learn to adapt and use different things instead of whining all the time? There are other options besides shotguns and snipers btw. OP please describe to me with your infinite wisdom what the perfect weapon meta would be.

1 RespuestaSo lets get this... Fusion rifles were "over powered", they got nerfed, shotguns were "OP" they got nerfed 10+ times. Snipers were "OP" they got nerfed. Now everyones using shotguns again. they're "OP" GOD people get it right. They are not OP they are just the strongest of ALL the nerfed BS. Nerfing isnt the solution. You're ruining the game more.

Shotguns aren't the problem, the maps are. They all lean to CQC and shotguns will always rule in that environment.

Shotguns are fine Snipers are fine Primaries are shit and need to be buffed so shotgun users actually have to have some skill to close gaps. I use a great matador and, with garrison, I can close a gap from WAY too far while getting peppered with primary shots and still land an ez kill. Primary weapon damage needs to increase the closer the opponent is to us so that if someone is in our face that final shot from a HC or Pulse kills that shotgun user so they can't just run in a straight line.

9 RespuestasShotguns are performing well because the majority of maps and game modes cater to close quarters. Snipers aren't "under performing". What Bungie did was put snipers back to where they are SUPPOSED to be. Pre-nerf, people were running around the map like their sniper [i]was[/i] a close quarters weapon, because there was little to no downside in doing so. And it wasn't just Trials and elimination. It was all game modes. Now snipers can be countered more easily. What the nerf did was siphon all the scrubs who were taking advantage of the low-risk/high reward snipers, the good snipers are and will still be good at sniping. I still get domed while popping guys in the head multiple times. Don't be confused. Buff snipers? No. Buff certain primary? Maybe. Screw all shotgun warriors? Bias post confirmed.

As a shotgun user who just started using nothing but snipers and NLB they're absolutely fine and shotguns are a bit too op in certain situations. So no, you leave.

2 RespuestasAt least they are moving.... seriously though snipers are in a great place but now you actually need to use them with skill and as intended. Effective range on a shotgun is really short actually so if you are dying at long range you are letting them close a gap or you are already damaged.
