I'm still waiting for them to go back to how they were in year one. Gunslinger sorta sucks. Bungie please. Why am I even posting this we all know bungie doesn't listen to us on the forums.
Edit: that 10% damage buff is needed so many times I'm left with someone with a sliver of health then I need to draw my gun that takes to long when fighting good players by then they already have their gun pointed at your head ready to fire. If anyone thinks it doesn't need the buff lets break it down.
Here are the requirements for a throwing knife precision hit.
- need to aim it
- need to account for the drop it has
- need to account for the travel time
- need to account for getting shot in the mean time because that will move were you're looking
All of this needs to be thought about while your in the middle of a battle. Theoretically the TTK of top tier guns is around 0.9 seconds so you have that much time if you want to trade. If you want to live and get the kill it has to be under 0.9 seconds that you calculate all that in your head. If it hits you cross map first of all that probably means the gunslinger got lucky. Secondly you can see it, you have time to dodge it.

Nerfing them was VERY unnecessary I almost never see a throwing knife in PvP.
-
6 RespuestasYou're doing it wrong. Use them to finish someone off, not cry they aren't one shot killers
-
1 RespuestaNothing like getting a throwing knife kill from a charging shotgunner 😏
-
1 RespuestaKnife juggler build is best.. One shot with hand cannon throw knife.. They die.. Easy
-
I think that they should either return it to how it was in year 1 or make it so that the father away the target, the more damage on impact that it does with the closest being the normal damage and as you get farther away the damage increases

Editado por Famdian: 10/25/2016 9:33:50 PMI trade anyways if they die first the mele, grenade or last shot gets me. Did they change throwing knifes lately?
-
10 RespuestasThe changes are unoticeable. You can still one tap hand cannon and throwing knife to the head.

Editado por LoneHunter777: 10/25/2016 7:31:22 AMI like to use Low Impact HCs, 'cause I'm weird like that, but the damage nerf to Throwing Knife makes it difficult to get a clean Wombo Combo kill vs Warlocks and Titans when they're bearing down on you (142+51<200). I'd like to see a damage buff to Knife Juggler, since that perk took a bigger hit than the offending Incendiary Blade. EDIT: Come to think of, Incendiary Blade doesn't really have a niche. Circle of Life is miles better in PvE, Knife Juggler is better in PvP. Maybe IB should be replaced by a perk that buffs your weapons after a TK kill, like War Machine or a poor man's Weapons of Light (a kill with TKs boost weapon damage for -x- seconds.) *Shrugs*

http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ATinyBushWookie/video/20736641 I'll just leave this here.
throwing knives are still good, but I wouldn't mind a buff
-
If you have mastered the hunter way throwing the knife is not a challenge

1 RespuestaEditado por Cayde’s Spicy Ramen(Adept): 10/25/2016 2:57:48 AMNo this is Destiny. Where smoke grenades kill despite the fact you have an air-locked helmet on, and knives through the forehead get you down to about half health.

3 RespuestasSomewhere in the distance, a group of Sunsingers are laughing at this
-
42 RespuestasGunslingers are currently the best solar subclass PvP wise in the game by far. Sunsinger is useless and sunbreaker is wonky af either amazing or 100% trash.
-
After they fix how broken shoulder charge is
-
15 RespuestasPlay arc warlock, that melee has the same range as a throwing knife
-
4 RespuestasWould it be acceptable for a throwing knife headshot to kill if there was a significant cool down penalty for killing a guardian with a full shield? There could be a perk in the skill tree that increases head shot damage with the throwing knife. It'd be better than having to get a headshot during golden gun, which is a waste of a node. That way they couldn't have the immediate cool down if they did manage a head shot.

5 RespuestasAm I the only one who the Burn doesnt prock on the Knife? That Shit costs me Kills left and right.
-
4 RespuestasGunslinger was my favorite, then they nerf the melee, and the nades
-
1 RespuestaI've always thought throwing knives should be a one headshot kill, but I think they should make the hitbox for that headshot a decent amount smaller as its not hard to get headshots with them.
-
I main a gunslinger, the only buff that it needs is the DoT of the flaming throwing knife, it still doesn't always do DoT and sometimes it still catches people on fire when I regular melee them. And it could possibly use a little buff to trip mines damage/activation time. But all of those things aren't necessary, it still works pretty great in my opinion.

Editado por TheANSER-42: 10/24/2016 1:56:45 PMSame requirements for an auto rifle. Make auto rifles one shot. Also, dodge it. Jesus, it's not hits can but it's not a freaking bullet bill either.
-
I think throwing knives are fine
-
I personally think that they should be one hit kills on low and mid amor builds BUT they hit boxes should be drastically reduced for balance to the point where to land one you need to be very skilled or very lucky.
-
1 RespuestaThey could use a nice PvE buff, In PvP? ... Ehhhhh... Eeehhhhhhhhhhhhh.... maybe I mean, a plan c and knife still shuts down all supers.
-
6 RespuestasThe nerf to tripmines and throwing knives was not caused by posts, it came from a statistical analysis showing gunslingers getting a vast majority of their kills from them and that the tripmine grenade was almost exclusively the gunslinger grenade used. "Are they leading or following up with the throwing knife? That's one way to tell an arrogant Gunslinger from a desperate one." —Ikora Rey I think this quote from the gunslinger emblem questline makes the point on Bungie's stance that throwing knives shouldn't stand on their own as a method to get kills. I also find it strange that anyone could believe Bungie isn't listening to the forums considering a large majority of the RoI content is player suggestions from the forums, and no they're not listening to every suggestion; I mean would you take a bad suggestion and use it?

To all those people hating on Hunters. I just want to clarify this. We are not all bad people. For we are skilled, humble warriors. The kind of Hunter I am, I'm one of the last of my kind. A Hunter that defends his fellow Hunters for their choice of playstyle, but also defends other classes from the people who call themselves "hunters", but when really they are nothing but arrogant cowards who know nothing of respect and unity with the other classes. I'm one with the Pack, and I only wish for my fellow Hunters to do the same. I also believe that warlocks and Titans out there should stay one with there kind just like I have stayed one with the Pack. I'm not saying you should switch to Hunter, but I'm saying this: Warlocks, stay with your fellow scholars and provide us with information we need to devise a tactic and better understand the enemy. Titans: remain with your order and provide us with your strength and support when we need it the most. There, now you see what I believe in. I also hope that you see that not all Hunters are horrible people, it's just that our name was tarnished by those who preach "Hunter master class". Same thing goes for both Titans and Warlocks.
