I agree completely. They haven't been viable in about a year now, were they strong? Yes. Doesn't mean they should have been needed into the absolute ground. I got my thorn quest and I pulled out a messenger I had from year 1 which was void. And good god. No point in using it. Clever dragons, hawksaw, pdx 45s and blind perditions can all kill in 3 bursts. And do it in half the time.
