"What a beautiful evening...."
[b]Zane took in the sights in the sky, snow crunching under his boots as he walked around. Despite being dressed only in a sleeveless t shirt and baggy pants, he didn't seem cold at all. He sat down on a nearby bench and simply took the sky in.[/b]

*As Zane walks around he notices Mortar sleeping on a bench in the courtyard. He occasionally twitches slightly and murmurs often, what he says though is unrecognizable. Zane can tell he's uncomfortable*

[b]He snaps his fingers trying to form a fire, then remembers his magic is gone. He sighs, then walks over to morter.[/b] "Dude, that cannot be comfortable...."

*When Zane says that Mortar seems to get spooked slightly and opens his eyes* Oh, hey Zane.

"Hey morter, you heal up alright since our last fight?"

Well I'd say I did well... Needed to go to the infirmary though

"Damn, I hit you that hard? My bad, I'm still getting use to this aura power."

Oh, no you were fine. I can only do so much. How bout you, you all patched up?

"Got some cuts and bruises, it'll heal though. Your hits really packed a punch."

Thanks. I try. I'm more concerned about the armor

"If it needs fixed up, I can do that. I may not own the shop anymore, but I still have materials at the house."

Nah, I think I'll be good. Kinda hard to obtain valhite lest you know people or in fact are a demon or something

"Man, you really don't know me do you? I've got every kind of metal in existence."

Oh, impressive. But I think I'll work on my armor. I like to add little surprises once in a while... So if someone gets their hands on the armor, it's like a security protocol

"Ah, gotcha. I understand, but if you ever need any materials, you know where to go too."

Of course Zane. So, how's retirement going?

"Oh it's great, spending time with the family and wife. Being able to not worry about impending attacks. It's nice to be able to relax."

Definitely. Though for me retirement seems odd. Spend your entire life fighting and it makes sense to take a break but... I always have some sort of energy that wants me to go out and fight stuff

"When you've been fighting as long as I have.....Well, you get what I'm saying right?"

Yeah, wait, how long HAVE you been fighting? Cause right now I'm around 20,150 years

"Ever since I was a child, plus when I died I fought in the second holy war."

Oh yeah, I remember hearing that. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

"34 years old, been fighting since I was 5. Feels like forever ago I left my clan....."

Ah, okay. That is cool, yeah. Though 34 seems kinda like a young age to retire. You must have made a hell load of money when you were working

"That I did, also accepted some contracts for damn near everyone. Fun times....."
