These topics need to stop, we get another one at least every other week, but nothing is going to change ever.
As a group leader, I have the sole right to specify the requirements of my group and decide who I want in my group. If you don't like the requirements, find your own group, or make your own. Just because you don't like the requirements of a group doesn't mean that you can somehow enforce a set of rules on it. If someone chooses to set a minimum light level and you disagree with it, then you can start a conversation with that person, but there is literally nothing you can do to "force" someone to change it.
Also, just because someone asks for 370+ and isn't at that level themselves doesn't make them a "hypocrite", some people just understand how the game works better than others. Being at or above the recommended light level reduces the damage you take and increases the damage you deal. This increases the rate of success. Sure, player skill level is the other half of this equation, but still it's a two part deal here.
While I understand that you may not like it, I would ask you and everyone else to please stop posting these topics. This topic has been beaten to death and has resulted in the nerfing of multiple things in the game already. You may not like it, but this is just one of those things that Bungie can not fix without adjusting some pretty big systems in their game.
