I think we should have the ability to hold Square/X for 5 seconds to use a synth that matches the weapon currently equipped. Example: I'm out of heavy ammo. So I switch to my Gjallarhorn, hold Square/X for a few seconds, then bam. Synth is used and you're reloading instantly, without having to deal with the slow menus or asking your friend to cover you.
