So yesterday myself and a buddy were running heroics ended up with a phogoth with some rando (who shall not be named). Me and my buddy are nuking the shit out of phogoth with ghallys( like there's anything else to use this week..come on ) and ended up both dying at the very last hit. This idiot we were with decided to pick up all his loot and sit in the menu the whole 30 seconds ... revived just in time to simply spawn and look at the chest. Angered and annoyed I sent him a message stating that it's insanely selfish to not revive especially now that there's chests to get better gear ... this asshole response is " you need a key for the chest that you probably didn't have and the gear is crap anyway " I'm pretty sure this kids been playing this game for all of 5 mins and just might be an idiot ...
Tldr- revive fellow guardians at the end of strikes plain and simple if not you're an asshole .
Edit. For all the idiots telling me to "git gud" or just "don't die" clearly missing the point lol not to mention if trading hits with the boss is clearly gonna kill him ( which is exactly how it should be and how it happened ) of course I'm going to because slow strikes are pointless. Fast efficient strikes FTW enough said...and lol at the idiot that said get good with the one LL 361 char lmao.

Feels bad for you dude, some player's lack of courtesy gave this community a bad name.
-
My pet peeve is when other teammates kill the enemies before the flucking tether anchors to create the succulent orbs for the fireteam!😭
-
Killed the boss and died from the Architect: other two danced at the chest as the timer ran out. Blocked them both. Never have to play with or against that again!
-
Devil's Advocate: If I'm trying to do a lot of strikes in a row, I have to make sure I pick up as many engrams as possible before the strike ends and they fill up my postmaster. This means deleting all the greens in my menu ASAP, picking up engrams then repeating the process if I need to make any more room. If you're dead and across the map, I might not be able to both revive you and get all my engrams. It's selfish, but also in my best interest.
If you were a real team player I will go out of my way, though.
He thought devils dawn and gloves for the hunter looks bad?

6 RespuestasI've always run on one simple principal. I'll revive a player who has contributed. If I'm not reviving you, it's because you were dead weight or actively unhelpful.
-
Well if you don't do crap and just sit there and get carried then yeah.
-
2 RespuestasWho cares? They'll go to your postmaster.

Git gud scrub

If anyone is down when the boss is killed I pick them up before going for the drops. It's just common courtesy. They helped you as much as you helped them.
-
I would have your back. I always revive people before picking up loot unless i am standing real close to the loot....but definitely before going at the chest. If i miss the chest i still keep the key and can use it on another strike.
-
9 RespuestasI usually just view the 2 randoms as bots. If they get more than half my kills I'm shocked
-
Don't git, Die good.

Yes actually if it's counting the strike as over it should revive you immediately. I don't understand why they don't have that on matchmaking. Kind of almost defeats the purpose of not having matchmaking on older raids. They should give incentives to reviving nonfireteam players by giving motes, strange coins, or really rare drops.
-
It depends, if I'm running one strike to get my marks I'll pull my ghost out as soon as the boss drops, my slots will be full and the drops are useless to me. By the time the timer hits 29 I'll be flying back to orbit. Just don't die, there's no rush. If I'm running the strike playlist for rep I'll revive you quite happily but the chances of me playing more than one strike is slim.
-
Same with Archon's Forge, I always go for the revive as soon as someone's down! I've encountered players that walk right past you before! I just don't revive them back if they need it

2 RespuestasEditado por Freakstylez: 10/4/2016 3:13:26 AMGod damn it, I just spent like 2 minutes typing up a comment and accidentally hit cancel. Summary: Played a strike the other day with two randoms. One was useless, the other wasn't. The not-useless guy ended up dying near the end of the boss, and I saw Mr. Useless heading over to revive him, so I focused on finishing off the boss. Well, turns out Mr. Useless decided not to revive him after I killed the boss, which I didn't realize until I'd grabbed my loot, found a key, and opened the chest, only to notice the poor guy's ghost chilling across the map with like 5 seconds left on the clock. I felt so bad. People suck man.
-
revive during strike as well was with a random who stood next to me for 20 seconds shooting the boss and wiped instead of reviving
-
1 RespuestaYep. Been there. Though a shout out should go out to the rando I ran with yesterday for a couple strikes. He and I two-manned several strikes because others would quit right after flying in. We managed to tear up some strikes together, including the Fallen Saber (that Warsat can suck it). Wherever you are, I hope we meet again guardian

Its called tactical taking one for the team. So be a team member and pick the guy up before deleting all the greens and other bad loot. If you are scared you dont have enough time before the next strike starts, just wait till it loaded up and then take that minute to do so. No one will be mad since you will catch up before the first group of adds is killed. Be a guardian guys. Why else do you think we have "wolf pack rounds" and not a "lone wolf round".

Agreed. Yesterday spent a large potion of a strike stuck in a res loop, just repeatedly getting pounded by shriekers (res, hit by 4 shriekers, repeat). Rather than simply turn around and help for 2 seconds, teammates took off. I finally caught up with them helped them up (because they were getting thrashed) watched as they did nothing, running around off path, so I pushed ahead. I'd die clearing things out, they'd run right past my ghost. Fast forward to me basically finishing the strike solo (they helped a little) dying on final hit and watching them run around collecting loot and ignoring my ghost, yet again. It's infuriating.

1 RespuestaI make it my number one priority to revive when the strike ends
-
Yup i revive before i get my loot. Hope people would do the same.
-
12 RespuestasPpl who run ahead and dont help do not get rezed. If they want to aggro all the mobs and not fire a shot. Then they can die by their actions and stay dead.
-
It's just courtesy to revive your companions

This is a response to your edit: 1. Trading hits with the boss is how it's supposed to be done? Absolutely not. The whole objective is to kill the boss without dying. And phogoth is very easy to kill without dying to. 2. You're giving that guy shit for being a 361? You do understand that LL has absolutely nothing to do with a persons skill right? A person can be great at 330, or a person could be complete shit at 385.
