Not neccesarily, rise of iron wasn't announced officially until a month or so before

Rise of iron was announced at the same time they said Destiny 2 wasn't coming out in the fall. Because that's when they started developing ROI. Also, the live team is totally independent from the dlc development team. At least that's what bungie said when they introduced microtransactions and said that micros would cover the cost for the live team. Must be one hell of a live team with the +10 million that microtransactions have made them. And yet we still have bugs for months. It's almost like the live team, funded by microtransactions, is only there to develop more microtransaction "content"...
-
It's very unlikely that the revenue from the micro-transactions all go back to the live team. I imagine a lot of it goes to the majority of devs that are apparently working on D2.
-
They stated "revenue from eververse will be used to fund our live team so that they can work on bug fixes and world events'' They sold the idea as a means of "free" content for all based on purchases by some. I called bullshit then, and they've done nothing to make my opinion change.
-
How's it bullshit when everything they said has been true? Was it not free content? Just because it wasn't what YOU wanted it to be, doesn't mean it was bullshit
-
Over 10 million dollars in revenue from microtransactions. I know srl was fancy, but 10 million? You're blissfully ignorant to think anywhere near what they've made has been put back into the live team. They gave an excuse rather than saying "we like money, give us money" or said nothing at all about it. But don't make excuses for why you're introducing a cash grab when that has nothing to do with why you did it

Editado por the spicy one: 10/3/2016 6:48:57 PMShow me where it said 10 million ... There have been thousands to millions of players who refused to even buy anything from eververse
-
10 million is a drastically low balled number that has easily been surpassed. That is 2 million purchases of the lowest value silver.based off anecdotal evidence, which is the only evidence this forum ever uses, that 10 million was surpassed before April ever rolled around. Just look at the tower any time a new "season" happens. If half the people in the tower are standing there showing off their new emotes, that can be extrapolated to see the scale of purchases made.
-
Editado por the spicy one: 10/3/2016 7:00:17 PMAgain, you can SAY 10 million plus all you want and it doesn't mean shit.
-
The fact that you are fixated on that number despite the fact that there is ZERO doubt that they've made that much just shows that nothing said to you will change your mind. I could tell you to look at the dozens of articles online about it and you would just call the writers salty because "they didn't get their way"
-
They announced an expansion, they didn't say what it was going to be, and yes I'm well aware the live team is separate.
-
When taken king came out, it was said that would be the last expansion for Destiny. It wasn't until Destiny 2 was pushed back that ROI was created.
-
I know. That wasn't what I was disagreeing with.
-
You said "they announced an expansion, they didn't say what it was going to be" But they didn't announce an expansion until after pushing back Destiny 2 and they didn't start working in ROI until a few month back, pretty much right before they announced ROI was a thing.
-
All of that is true. I don't think you've quite understood what each response of mine was in response to.
-
I literally quoted your response and my response answered yours with counterpoints that you agree with and yet "I'm missing the point" Apparently your point has nothing to do with the words you're typing...
-
No, you're just incapable of agreeing with or understanding what I'm saying because you're so used to criticising my posts. They announced an expansion at the same time as they announced destiny 2 was pushed back - your words, correct. It was rise of iron - both of us said this, it's correct They didn't state that it was rise of iron nor did they give any indication of an iron lord expansion until later - my words, correct. Understand now?
-
You're actually proving my point though. How do you not get that? They didn't say it was Rise of Iron because they had nothing prepared, but slapped together ROI in that time frame. They didn't intend on ROI until a few months ago...
-
I know, and I've said numerous times now that I know How do you not get that?
-
If you agree with the point, why follow up with a comment restating it with an opposing tone. Watch, say something that I would have to agree with and I will show you how it's done.
-
That isn't at all what I did.
-
Destiny 2 is a slightly bigger launch than RoI. There gonna ride the hype train for a long time. And RoI was announced 3 months before its release
-
Fair enough. The three months before was only a leak though.
