2 RespuestasSnipers like to say that shotgunning takes no skill, but I think that sniping and shotgunning are simply two different skill sets. You have to be accurate to snipe, but you have to be quick on your feet to be good with a shotgun. If you're moving into shotgun range, one of you are going to die. If you want to be the one still alive, you've got to be quick and smart- and accurate also, because if not all of your shot hits, they won't be dead, which means you probably will be. I used to be glued to a sniper, until one week the trials map was a shotgun map, and I forced myself to use a shotgun until I was good with it, and I learned quickly that it's not as easy as it looks. Any sniper who says that shotgunning takes no skill, I'd challenge you to pick up a shotgun and see how many times you die before you learn to get good with one.

11 RespuestasIt takes less skill to use a shotgun than a sniper. ESPECIALLY now with the triple sniper nerf

8 RespuestasShotguns are currently getting all the attention because the game mode is supremacy. That's all it is. Shotguns are the best secondary to have for a game mode like supremacy. A sniper isn't. If everyone picked up sidearms for a few days in the crucible you'd be seeing nerf posts for sidearms. The same could be said about any weapon archetype that gets used excessively in the crucible.

1 RespuestaBump, shotguns are broke (as in, not working properly).

2 RespuestasWith the last one in the spoiler, he didnt exactly aim in the perfect spot. He aimed slightly to the left, which is bad since party crasher actually shoots most of its pellets slightly to the left. He also aimed a bit high, almost as if he were going for a headshot. I almost guarantee he would've gotten the kill if he aimed slightly lower and to the right.

6 Respuestasfirst shotty video, doesn't look like you were full ADS leaving some inaccuracy, if one pellet missed, with two on the body, one more would have needed to land. for the second one, that was straight up RNG bullet bullshit. you can see the two missed pellets flying up and to the right outside of the sight lines of the gun. from that range, all should have hit within the sights. you got -blam!-ing robbed there. as for the sniping party crasher? that's why shotguns need a nerf....

13 Respuestasthere is really no argument. Look at the usage stats per playlist, total kills etc. Shotguns have been dominating this game since day 1. The nerf herders and Bungie's misguided idea of their own game has destroyed sniper rifles and fusions are still basically nonexistent. When high impact shotguns get hit again oh and you better believe they will, you will see everyone come out of the woodwork and cry. A good sniper could dominate a lobby which is why they cried so hard about them even though the only playlist where they have been used more is ToO. Don't believe me then feel free to check both DTR and guardian.gg where you can filter playlists.

16 Respuestas
"Shotguns take no skill"
Okay. So according to the nerf herders, the following guns take no skill: 1. Shotguns. 2. snipers 3. AR's. 4. TLW 5. PR 6. Scout rifles/Mida 7. HC's. 8. LMG's 9. Rocket Launchers. Did I leave anything out? Pretty much the only weapons that apparently take skill according to nerf herders are fusion rifles and sidearms - weapon classes that are less used than everything else... Notice a pattern? Apparently any gun that kills them takes no skill....

22 RespuestasOMG my shotgun DOESNT ONESHOT everyone. We r so skilled, stop blaming us. Shotguns should always need atleast 2 shots to kill a full HP enemy. The current shotgun meta is just a joke
-
I wouldn't say they take no skill, they're just... the easy way out. I'd never bother using one if it weren't for the fact that 75% of people use them and if you want to have any chance whatsoever in CQC, you need a shotgun. Or ungodly sniper reflexes, but c'mon, nobody expects the average player to manage that reliably.

5 RespuestasNeither does a melee and both serve the same purpose. If you get killed by either one, you deserved it.

I love killing a shotgun rusher.

2 RespuestasHe was flinching so he aimed above the guys head. Not every bullet hit him so it didnt kill him. Quit with the ghost bullet crap

1 RespuestaBeing a good shotgunner takes skill
-
Juggs don't give a -blam!-.
-
1 RespuestaIt depends. It definitely takes less skill to be a good shotgunner, imho, which is why I'm pretty good at it. lol.

1 RespuestaLmfao that second video.

2 Respuestas"Oh no, i cant kill someone from crazy ranges with my shotgun" That is what i am hearing out of this.

41 RespuestasThese two vidoes are not actually worth going off. First video: too far away Second video: lag

1 RespuestaTruly they don't require "skill". Anyone can pick up a shotgun and get a kill. Same with sniping. Anyone can land a head shot. What skill is in Destiny is how consistent you are with landing head shots. Consistency is Skill.

2 RespuestasThe more close range you get in this game the weirder it gets and the problem is that close range has pretty much invaded midrange. Shotguns will sometimes not fire when you press the trigger, they may not do full damage when you're sticking it in their gut, and they sometimes one shot from rediculous range if someone has taken a single auto rifle bullet. Fusions either get rediculous range kills or you maybe strip their shields at the same distance with what looks like the same number of bolts hit. In case one you can beat a shotgun rusher, in case two you're dead so it becomes essentially a coin flip. Sidearms still suck because of the "Why not just move a couple of steps forward and one bang them with matador?" problem. Melee is awkward because of subclass differences. I still don't know why storm first one hits some of the time but not all the time or none of the time. Blink strike can sometimes physics kill you if you hit a small rock midway, you can whiff completely and your opponent just busts your face in, and sometimes there's enough of a damage delay that you trade kill even though you lunged first. On the primary side handcannons are reliably unreliable when you get into messy encounters because of bloom which is unavoidable if you're trying to not die from shotgun rushing. ARs in general are weird because they really punish non crits despite them being close range weapons that have to fight against high crit handcannons and shotguns/fusion rifles. Both ends of the impact spectrum on auto rifles aren't great for their respective ranges, leaving the 88/8 archetype standing as the Only Good one. None of these are overpowered it's just that randomness seems to take hold at close range and it makes every engagement weird.
