If you are content with Bungie's display over the past two years/UNCONDITIONALLY love the game, then you have no reason to post here. Aiming to see reasonable conversations (no blind hate/fanboysm). Doesn't mean you can't post ANY thoughts you have. Only trying to keep things civilized (agree/disagree all you want).
With the upcoming sequel, it seems that the player-base is divided AGAIN. Some want their progress to carry over as Bungie promised, others don't mind a completely fresh start. Personally, i believe they would fully erase the layered mess they created if they could.
Here's where the pre-ordering played a major part in this. If the vanilla didn't give them the head start they had, i can assure you this complete overhaul would have happened much earlier/around the time of TTK. Don't think i need to explain how much better this would have been for the franchise.
Now its obvious that the current numbers aren't cutting it otherwise they would have continued to appease to whats left of the player-base (why completely throw away what worked, IF it worked).
But once again they're breaking another promise like ever-verse to AGAIN adapt to the new messy situation. Apparently their main focus is to reach out for new players for a sequel to actually work. Keep in mind they cant even dream of vanilla preordering numbers at this point (faaaaaaaaaar from it). That means clearing the bad blood, pretend as if the first game never happened and start over.
So how about it guys ?? Can we please let them EARN their following this time around ?? And also do NOT jump into conclusions. Lets see where they take this. Would love to hear more thoughts on the matter.
This for anyone who have little to no info on the sequel http://kotaku.com/sources-destiny-2-coming-to-pc-aims-to-feel-like-a-to-1787153460 also research more on the matter for yourself, thats always better.

Considering I have gotten my money's worth from the vanilla game and every single expansion that has dropped so far, I have no reason not to preorder. As far as entertainment value goes, Destiny has given me the best bang for my buck aside from my console itself. I may disagree with many decisions they have made along the way but that doesn't mean I still don't enjoy the game every time I load it up. So yeah, I'll preorder as soon as it's available. I also don't jump to conclusions based on a Kotaku article until Bungie actually confirms anything themselves. And I really couldn't care less if they restart the game from scratch. As much as I'd like my guardian to carry over, I am completely fine with them restarting as well. I'll just remake a new character and carry on.
