Best Aksis weapons......!
So Aksis is dead but yay, we get to kill him every week!
This is one of the best loadouts I've found for Phase 2 and I've tried many....
Primary - Chaos Dogma (if you don't have it any mid to quick firing Scout will do) when you're high enough light to one shot the Shanks use a Hand canon, Eysaluna or Lord high Fixer type.
Special - 1000 Yard Stare type Sniper, if you don't have one with Triple Tap and Spray and Play prey every night to RNGusus for one. I can unload 16 bullets into Aksis's face on his 3rd damage phase and throw my Nova Bomb and 2 Scatter Grenades (if I'm not using the Canon on him)
Heavy - Razelighter!!! If you don't have Razelighter, go and -blam!-ing get Razelighter!
Weapons you don't need for the entire Raid..... Gjallarhorn, seriously put that shit away! Not only does it make Captains teleport away causing potential problems but you can also kill yourself with rockets.
I know, I know. You LOVE Gjallarhorn but it's one of the worst weapons for this Raid (this is of course just my opinion) but Razelighter is far better for every section!

dark drinker deals more damage just to let you know go look it up on youtube, sleeper and razelighter deal the same but dark drinker deals close to 100,000 more damage. This is calculated in just third teleport so whatever you do plus the third teleport dark drinker damage +500,000 damage easy. This goes for those outside of my strategy which is sleeper and canon users deal up to and over 1 mil each damage step. So let me clarify 3 players do my strategy over 3 million right there that is almost a third of his health (around 11 million). Then dark drinkers with snipers deal normally 700,000 easy so thats an extra 2.1 million so 5.1 million damage each damage step. That means 2 damage steps to get him to final shoot out. Only one platform used from siva overcharge. Now I don't expect everyone to do it perfectly but this method only uses two platforms at most and is extremely powerful and will be my recommendation for hard raid unless unfortunate objective changes.

If Gjallarhorn is giving you trouble, then you're using it wrong. Never had an issue killing captains or anything else.

Yea..... right now I have Cryptic Dragon for a scout rifle with triple tap and reactive reload and I think I may have had a triple tap 1000yard stare but dismantled it because I only ever needed black spindle for dps(with a sniper) in Kings Fall, so I saw no use for triple tap snipers.... I DO have Razelighter though! that was one thing I made sure to do during TTK; obtain all 3 exotic swords

I enjoy my current load out at the moment. Not going to change it other than switching to a shotty in phase 1 of Aksis

6 RespuestasArming a sword is a complete waste of a heavy. It's worn by people who struggle killing the Captains. The best thing to use is a sleeper, it has 9 shots, awesome DPS. Ghally just doesn't have enough ammo to outshine the sleeper. Go with your best sniper and a sleeper, if you were too casual to get the sleeper use the Ghally then.

2 RespuestasI'm still experimenting, but I think that a good weapon roll is: Some sort of scout (currently using OG Hung Jury) Black Spindle Sound and Fury With a Nighthawk to kill captains.

2 RespuestasThe problem I have found using the raze is that you have to get close to captains to use it. This leads to dead by scorch cannon for some. I keep distance and use rockets myself, a weapon that you can actually do damage to boss with.

Chaos dogma is the new Fatebringer if you can handle low RoF scouts. If you look in the database, the sniper and MG look like they will be DPS machines as well.

3 RespuestasAlright alright alright. FINE! Yeah I hear you, I'll tell you effing meta for beating Aksis!! Raze lighter and sleeper on left and right sides. Raze kills captain, sleeper is for boss DPS (does 50k per headshot with weapons and tether- it's higher dps than any other heavy for non buffed dps and buffed dps). In the middle use 2 ghallys, or 2 storm callers with sleeper. Either super your captain (wear Ram) or ghally him from up top. Never go into No-Man's land in the middle without a super! Never! Primaries: raid scout. It's a primary Spindle and it's awesome. Secondary: high impact sniper, your choice. Dps phase: cannons are main source of dps- use 3 on second teleport and save 6 for final phase- when he's tethered and you have WoL. Btw If I see a cannon with shots still in it, you're getting kicked, even if I'm not in your fireteam I will kick you and you will be forced to reinstall destiny. Confirmed. Non-dps: DONT RELOAD! Use sleeper, switch to snipe, then primary. While he's teleporting that's the time to reload! Rinse and repeat. Also, rule number 1- goes without saying this is very important, need your attention- DONT DIE

1 RespuestaZhalo is such an underrated exotic...take it to the death zamboni and see how useful that little shock is against adds...it doesn't do much damage,but they flinch, and alot of them! Just enough to keep that vandal from swinging his sword or that shank from opening fire...

1 RespuestaIt's best to have half raze and half gally. Whoever has raze kills the captain and grabs the scorch. This way you kill the captains fast and now 3 have scorch and 3 have gally for boss

Ehhh, I much prefer using my Grim Citizen TBH. That scout give me a headache with all the bouncing around it does.

Dark drinker is pretty amazing. Especially if you have at least 3 people with it at the siege engine

Oh and his right I swapped my ghallahorn out now I use snipers to hit the boss and my personal damage has gone up.

3 RespuestasIll use whatever I damn please, every group I have been to and beat it with everyone used what they wanted, what weapon regulations you put there, let people enjoy what they have since we all have a ton of stuff, also wait for hard mode and let bungie add a killing debuff if you get to close to aksis without empowerement and watch it dissolve you to nothing ;)
