Snipers are fine
Shortly after HOWs bungie buffed snipers. many people started sniping around this time and just assumed they were just a really good sniper.
Fast forward to now, many of those players were given a false sense of skill, and now that they can't snipe they just assume that the gun was over nerfed.
No, the problem lies in the fact that these people were never good snipers to begin with. End of story, adapt or move on.

Th sniper nerf went overboard as you said they increased aim assist so why not just undo that buff instead of making it extremely hard for the casual player to snipe

10 RespuestasEditado por Swiftlock: 9/30/2016 7:00:49 PMNah. They're not fine. The backpack ammo reduction and extra flinch is annoying in PvE. Not very good design when you have to scrounge around for green bricks and burn through extra synths during boss fights all because of a PvP nerf.

I think Snipers are in a good spot now but I personally think that Special as a whole needs a bit of tweaking. Too many people running around with Sniper Rifles and Shotguns. I also really dislike how Bungie made it to where you'll be in Critical condition as soon as you get shot by a Sniper in the body. :/ Everyone keeps trying to do the whole "Nkuch strat".

1 RespuestaI've seen a lot of people saying that you can't even use snipers now, because they were nerfed so bad. And my response is, it's not that you can't use them anymore, it's that you can't use them the way you used to, which was never the correct way to use snipers. People were using snipers the way you're supposed to use fusion rifles, as a medium range suppression weapon and threat display, and they were getting away with it because snipers were so strong. Now they can't do that anymore, so instead of figuring out the correct way to use snipers, they just complain and go back to shotgun rushing.

4 RespuestasI can still snipe pretty well but the flinch is to much when I get shot from long range from a scout my scope goes all the way up to the roof and it's impossible and even in PvE I have an unflinching longbow and guess what I still flinch like a bitch

Lol. The buff didn't turn bad snipers into good snipers.... all they did was change the aim assist by 15. Which isn't enough to make a big difference

2 RespuestasOnce again Bungie over did it with the nerf hammer. They went so overboard on the flinch it's not even funny!!!! To add insult to injury they carried it over into PVE. Freakin brilliant, thanks a lot!!!!!! (Incase you couldn't tell that was me being snarky)

The flinch is ridiculous. It's become a nuisance getting shot while trying to snipe in PvE. In PvP it doesn't really affect me, as I never really have a problem sniping through flinch. It's all about getting lucky honestly
