I honestly am not going to be on offtopic until the election ends. This forum has become so toxic, the bullshit from both conservatives and liberals makes me want to scream in frustration. A couple of months ago, this forum was a fun place where it was mostly comedic posts, with some politics. But now, it's almost all political posts, and that's not a good thing. I've seen users who were friends a month ago screaming bile at each other, the negativity on this forum is just to much. Hopefully, offtopic will go back to normal after the election, but I'll stay away until then.

1 RespuestaEditado por gethyn007: 10/1/2016 2:29:19 AMI just skip over threads that don't interest me, but I don't believe those that don't interest me should not be allowed - not that anyone's suggesting otherwise. Personally, I tend to enjoy political discussions. Funny, silly posts are entertaining every now and then, but I'd much rather engage in debates involving politics, science, religion, or philosophy than to see nothing but idiotic, meaningless gibberish that I guess is suppose to be funny.

1 RespuestaEditado por M1Silencer: 9/29/2016 2:14:37 PMI came here to avoid the depressing comments and attitudes I read on r/politics, and now I have nowhere to go. Offtopic is just a different kind of depressing/make me slowly lose faith in humanity. But then I remember that most of the posters here are in their teens, so it makes it slightly more tolerable as I know they're mostly just shitposting opinions on things they know nothing about.

1 RespuestaSame, at least for the most part. There's just no purpose in the topic for me. It's nice that other people feel the need to concern themselves with it, a certain percentage of the population has to, but i'm not one of them.

Editado por SuperStormDroid: 10/1/2016 12:49:50 AMI propose that we spam non political memes in every political thread in sight. Who's with me?!

5 RespuestasIt's a conservative circle jerk here now. It was pretty even with liberal and conservative members some months ago but idk what the hell happened.

I mean as long as you appreciate the right you have to debate and have opinions. Something that isnt granted everywhere.

1 RespuestaBeen avoiding Offtopic altogether lately. With the election approaching, all the threads are extremely cancerous.

1 RespuestaSort of hard to. People will try to work it into anything Talking about video games? Lazy liberal millennials Talking about any state south of the Mason-Dixon? Stupid hicks.
-
1 RespuestaYou must be new. This community has always been toxic.
-
1 RespuestaI can't tell any difference. There's always posts trying to shame others for not thinking alike.
-
1 RespuestaGonna be worse after the election is over. People will be bitching, praising and saying other bull shit about they candidates.
-
TL:DR I avoided them.

Anyone else been watching the new southparks? They are doing a great job capturing the current climate i think.

Yeah I stop by from time to time for laughs and noticed this too, it should be temporarily changed to /politics. Idk how people get so absorbed in that cancer tbh.

Editado por Bardyl: 9/29/2016 9:30:12 PMNot sure why it is so bothersome to a lot of people. I find these topics interesting to talk about. Even if my opinion doesn't match up with everyone elses. I like a good debate.
The real problem is how stale this place is getting. Used to be tons of new posts daily, now each day I see the same posts with a couple new ones.
