A Reason Supremacy is NOT a fun game mode And Why shotguns are still broken.

This game mode is by far the most annoying game mode out there. It promotes shotgun gameplay and shotgun gameplay only. Shotguns are EVERYONES primary. No one in the playlist knows what a primary weapon is. And with Bungie failing 3 times to fix Shotguns it will only stay that way. Plus It just plays like clash. Teammates will not deny crests and it just sets your whole team back. There's no reason to play Supremacy at all. Unless you want to do 50Rep Bounties or play a match for 15 Marks. With that being said. Shotguns. Specifically High Range high impact ones. Why do they exist? They don't need to be in the game AT ALL. Bungie tried 3 times to fix them! And yet they shit on the other archetypes of them. It sucks that I can't use my immobiois without getting killed from a longer shotgun range. Any archetype that isn't a high range/impact one is useless. There's literally no use at all to even have them in the game if those shotguns dominate every other type. If there's any situation in where Low Range shotguns are good, it's PvE. And before someone says "You cruciplebs ruin the game!" Shush. Bungie should have thought about that when they decided PvE Should be the same regarding weapons. Edit: People seem to forget the point that I said HIGH IMPACT/LONG RANGE Shotguns just completely shadow the other archetypes. There's no reason to even use them if one archetype does the job better and more efficiently.

Why is it so hard to understand. Supremacy = collecting the engrams dropped by your enemy to score points and win, while collecting those dropped by your team to deny the enemy their points. When you kill someone with a shotgun, you are already right on top of their engram, and it almost guarantees that each kill you get will go towards winning the game. It only makes sense to use a shotgun if you want to be a key contributor to your teams victory. And shotguns with high range/impact are the most used in crucible (this game mode, specifically) because they are significantly better for one-banging enemies at further ranges than other archetypes....and that is perfectly fine. Not everything has to work in every single scenario. The desire/pursuit for absolute equal usage of every single gun in every single game mode is the ambition of fools. You want to use a different archetype of shotgun? Do it in PvE, unless you want to be at a disadvantage in a shotgun 1v1. Shotguns are fine right now (maybe restore their old handling and make them shoot blanks/lock up less often), and wanting to nerf the best PvP shotgun archetype because you feel at a disadvantage while using something that has overall subpar performance in PvP is really stupid of you.
There's no reason to even use them if one archetype does the job better and more efficiently.
Exactly, so stop complaining and use a shotgun that performs better in PvP. Let shotguns better for PvE stay in PvE, and let shotguns better in PvP stay in PvP. Making them all equal would be boring as shit.
