Didn't ACTUALLY get what I pre-ordered
So yesterday I went to go pick up my ROI pre-order at GameStop and everything APPEARED to be going smoothly. Got the receipt with the expansion code and the 2 DLC codes for the ghally stuff.
Drove home waited 2hrs for my Xbox to update itself, then inserted the expansion code. Problem is the code wasn't an expansion code... It was a code for $34 to be spent in the Microsoft store. WHAT...HOW...WHY!?
So I calm down and think to myself "well it's fine as long as I can purchase it from the store".The expansion by itself is not listed. Well shite guess I'll go back to the GameStop and explain it to them. They closed an hour ago while the Xbox was still updating itself...

Just log in to destiny and the rise of iron dlc thingy will pop up and it says purchase on the left click purchase and you will have it

1 RespuestaActually when you buy a card from gamestop it does in fact say $30 at the top dont know where the $4 came from because thats not how it works... And on the back it clearly says it gives you currency for the xbox store to spend on the game. Just learn to read and you realize how bad you look. Also it still is in the store, you just actually have to look for it (not hard in the slightest)

You can also buy the DLC in the game. The RoI symbol is by the Tower on the map. Select it, and buy it there

I got mine from gamestop. Ordered ROI by typing in "Rise of Iron" in the search bar Two different games came up, one pre order and one not. Got the pre order. Got the exclusives. Still have a code for the two exclusives on my reciept. Not sure what happened for you man.

I know it sucks and to top it all off, it only kept showing the Destiny: Rise of Iron is "available only in a bundle," Bungie and their marketing team trying to make even more money off of people and wanting them to buy the whole game for $60 when they already have all the DLC's but ROI. They make it where ROI itself is NO WHERE to be found on the main store [i]literally[/i]. It's complete bs. BUT... A friend helped me. Go to store. Search "Rise of Iron". Click on the one that says Destiny: Rise of Iron pre-order and [b][u]NOT[/u][/b] Destiny: Rise of Iron [b]Add-On[/b] It'll say $29.99. Purchase it and you're good to go. Like and bump to spread the word.

This has probably already been posted, but just in case it hasn't been yet, this will clear it up. I, too, felt swindled with a $30 credit when I clearly wanted the game download. This wasn't made clear to me. The way to get it is by loading Destiny, choosing a character, then loading the director to pick a destination. Once the map is open, choose the ROI icon and verify your balance is enough to purchase it. Select purchase, then enjoy playing. It took me a bit to figure this out.

Because there isn't an actual code for it to be hand held. They give gift cards equal to the amount purchased so you just hop on the xbox and buy it yourself. It's been like that for nearly a year + now.

That's why I don't preorder from GameStop, I used to work there and they always manage to -blam!- something up, and not the most honest people you'll meet. They need the quota so they don't really care what product they are selling. They just trying not to get fired

First there is no raid on day one that comes out latter. Second you just had to search for the ROI that said preorder. I also got the same stuff from GameStop and managed to preorder ROI yesterday. Got the bonus stuff because of that and I still have the bonus codes from GameStop and a poster. It was a pretty sweet deal to be honest.
