Title says it all. I took 10 months to get this weapon because I believed that it was hot garbage. But after picking up my copy this week, I have been pleasantly surprised.
Let's examine the perks No Time To Explain has.
1. Counterbalance. Now don't get mad at me yet, I know the gun doesn't technically have Counterbalance. But take the gun out and shoot it sometime, notice that the recoil is strictly vertical. This strict verticality is what counterbalance does for a weapon, so I like to say the gun has the perk built in. Nonetheless, Counterbalance is one of, if not the most sought after perk on a pulse rifle.
2. Headseeker. Another highly sought after perk, Headseeker makes this weapon powerful.
3. Full Auto. Again, another perk that makes a Pulse Rifle great.
4. Rewind Again. The gem of the weapon, this perk returns all precision hits to the mag. It essentially is an improved version of the original Black Hammer perk. The perk is centered towards PvE, but still holds its merits in PvP. I think of it as a cherry on top for PvP, onto a gun with stacked perks.
Let's get into my thoughts and my strategies with this weapon.
The weapon feels incredible. I'm serious when I say it feels like a much better version of Nirwens Mercy. It fires like a laser beam, and hits really hard. By playing to the weapons strengths I have been performing very well.
Strategies: It is really important to use NTTE at medium-long range. It isn't the Hawksaw, it can do well at those long ranges.
I have been using Defender Titan with Weapons of Light to make this weapon a consistent 2 burst kill. By holding back I can put my bubble up and pick people off from longer ranges.
For my Special Weapon I use my trusty Hitchhiker FR4. (If you would like to check it out take a look at my Titan). This fusion rifle hits like a cannon, and can cover what No Time To Explain cannot. With Weapons of Light the Hitchhiker can kill with only three bolts, this also allows it to destroy roaming supers in case I don't hit with a Suppression Grenade.
All in all I've been having a great time with No Time To Explain and by building around the weapons strengths I perform as well as I would normally. If you don't have the weapon yet I highly recommend you do as it not only is a PvE beast, but a truly great PvP weapon as well.
If you have the weapon try what I've been doing with it, let me know how it works out for you!

Editado por Drip Bandito: 9/19/2016 4:38:21 AMPretty underrated indeed. I'm better than decent and dropped a 2.5 with NTTE

I used it for a while when I got it but went back to Bad Juju. Just like the juju more.

1 Respuesta10 months! It only took 2 days for me.

1 RespuestaUnderrated, but it just got a buff. You're just on the bandwagon for now

4 RespuestasI remember seeing a TTK trailer with NTTE and it had arc damage on it along with a void and solar version of Thunderlord. Needless to say, I'm still disappointed that none of those made it in game. I'm also disappointed that TTK had about 8-10 more exotics that got shelved for RoI. Bit if a rant, but whatever.

5 RespuestasEditado por bud4wie2ser0: 9/18/2016 4:04:09 PMEver since they changed it from Blue to purple I just don't like it. I want the blue version back. Edit: I was thinkin of the strangers rifle. My bad.

Got mine a few days ago with the help of some awesome people! I need some infusion fuel for it, but yeah, its a blast :)

Honestly thought Boolean Gemini or Fabian Strategy were more underated. Before the recent update of course.

Boss killer for sure.

20 RespuestasHonestly I don't understand why a lot of people sleep on the Bad Juju. It's best archetype of pulse rifle in the game with an unbelievable set of perks. NTTE is good as well, though.

Editado por Sharkeyboy1973: 9/18/2016 12:13:29 PMDon't forget it's got headseeker as an intrinsic perk, now. I'm waiting to have the time to do VOG to continue the quest for mine! Sorry, just saw you put headseeker down. My bad🤐

Its black hammer as a pulse rifle, of course its good. LoL
water chicken nipples
2 RespuestasYou know, when I first got my Stranger's Rifle in Year 1 I loved it. Good range, very stable, and a cool look and sound. It also has a certain smoothness to how it fires that I love. The sights were cool too. But since it was a low light level blue gun at the time, I soon had to get better guns. And it sat in my vault. I was pleased to hear that it would become the exotic NTTE, but when I got NTTE the first day it unlocked, I was kinda disappointed. The overall feeling I get from the NTTE is just 'eh'. It still generally looks and sounds great, and also feels mostly good still, but it really doesn't do anything special. The new hologram sight is harder to see through, plus the muzzle flash is still obnoxious. I never liked Full Auto, it does nothing for me except make me accidentally waste shots because I held the trigger a tad too long when tapping the trigger. The new addition of Headseeker is 'eh' to me as well. It only ALMOST keeps up the damage you get from crits so to me that is also useless. Rewind Again is much better than the original Rewind, but is still underwhelming, especially when a Triple-Tap legendary Scout such as my OG Hung Jury or Black Spindle, and maybe even Super Good Advice have better niche uses. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate NTTE, I actually really like it, and I am glad you do too, but it is just kind of disappointing to me. I really wish it were better. I like how it feels like a super stable laser with good range and it feels like it has good aim assist too, but it reloads too slow, and has too small a mag, and Rewind Again doesn't do enough to offset that. If the muzzle flash was fixed like with Bad Juju, and the sight was better like the OG Stranger's Rifle, and it had better perks that didn't just annoy me with their uselessness like Full Auto (or if you had the choice to switch it to something else), it would be one of my favorite guns. But that hasn't happened yet. The archetype isn't actually an issue to me because of the good range and stability that archetype usually has. But the perks are boring and useless. Red Death is much more worth using because its Healing perk is actually useful and is kinda niche to the gun at least for the 100% chance to heal. What does NTTE really have going for it? Also an Ornament for the OG Stranger's Rifle skin would be great.

Agreed, it's not a bad alternate for people without ToM who are trying to raid for the first time. In fact it's pretty useful all through the raid, if you got a decent sniper and MG to compliment it. Melts knights quick and no reloads if shots are on point.
-
Amen to that
-
2 RespuestasThe problem with the Stranger's Rifle duo is the muzzle flash. It freaks your screen out, making it hard to hit those headshots. The Stranger's Rifle itself has actually always been a really good weapon, but that muzzle flash ruins it.

1 RespuestaYou're not playing at a very high level if this is effective.

6 RespuestasFull auto is the worst perk in my book. It's a wasted perk slot.
-
It has Headseeker, which has been proven to not decrease kill time in PvP, so there it is a wasted perk. It will take the same number of bursts to kill a guardian with or without crits. It has Full Auto, a perk to kill accuracy and spray bullets everywhere for people who can't aim. The same perk can be found ruining Scout Rifles, I wish my Inward Lamp didn't have it either.
-
2 RespuestasThe vendor hawksaw still has easier to control recoil and a faster time to kill.
-
1 RespuestaNah fam. Monte Carlo.

9 RespuestasI noticed exotics are performing well right now, I was doing pretty decent with a red death last night and some dude with a monte Carlo was shredding everyone.
