Sidestepping the major hand cannon issues at the moment.
There needs to be an answer to the question what makes an exotic an "exotic"?
Hawkmoon? - Outclassed by Eyasaluna
Red Death - Meet Hawksaw
Necromancer- Used the Doctrine
Patience & Time - There's a Longbow for that
Invective - PartyCrasher +1
TLW - Ghost bullets haunt it! Haha.
The Vex ? - Nothing is like the Vex. But unfortunately it's not as competitive as before. I don't mind it not being usable in trials. But I'd like a reason to still use it in good old fashioned PvP.
Y1 Players worked hard to get that thing. It had to be earned from a raid and with teamwork. (+RNGesus)
I've been trying to get it to work in the crucible for a while now and it's just not competing. Stability ammo, handling, it's loosing out to a damn Eyasaluna and hawksaw too much.
I accept you can't re-buff it to its year 1 game breaking form. But an acknowledgment that the power creep has left it behind and it's in need of some love would be great.
I never know if this'll reach the right people. But folks "upvote" if you miss using the Vex Mythoclast and seeing it about.

I want the Vex back

Editado por Th3 p1s7oL: 9/20/2016 2:37:29 AMIts a year 1 weapon... just let it go brah....
-
1 RespuestaI very much agree. Making it hitscan would make it usable in pvp. I also wouldn't mind a stability boost
-
5 RespuestasMost unique looking, sounding, and feeling weapon. Whoever designed it is a genius. Whoever nerfed it, I can't speak my mind about here.
-
3 RespuestasI used it today and did pretty good with the vex call me old fashioned, but I will always use the vex in pvp

Editado por Striker1000122: 9/17/2016 7:46:39 PMSo i was over thinking as usual and i came to the realization i spent year two getting back everything i owned in year 1(collecting a limited amount of legendary marks) with some new stuff here and there... Then the rise of iron is coming and these year 2 players get too keep everything they owned in year 2, come on bungie make this right. I know you don't give us anything free but go in the database and bring the gear back!! I want my year 1 to be converted please!

Nope. There is zero love for the Vex Mythoclast, OP. A little history: When the nerf brigade started screaming about the Mythoclast, it was way back in Y1 when HM VoG had just opened up. At the time, it was the rarest weapon in the game. Only receivable on VoG Hard Mode, and even then there was only a small percentage chance that some one in your Raid party would get it. So when it would drop, it was a big deal. But, it's stats, Perks, and the very mechanics of the weapon made it a -blam!-ing monster in all areas of game play. But then the screaming started. I won't go into the litany of nerfs and sheer shenanigans that have surrounded Bungie trying to "fix" the Mythoclast, that list is much too long. Suffice to say; the Vex Mythoclast was a great weapon in PvE, excelled in PvP, but the whiney little PvP kids who can't handle ever being killed started a long road of Bungie making this weapon worse and worse with every "weapon tuning". It was getting double-hit with AR and Fusion Rifle nerfs, not to mention the Perks took some massive hits as well. In short, the Mythoclast is the shit-tier weapon it is today, because Bungie has zero idea what they're doing with the updates, and even less of an idea what "balance" is. the Vex Mythoclast was made nigh worthless because of pure idiocy.

We ran a private rumble with 3 of us, vex and fusion rifle. At one point James asked me to stand still so he could shoot me with the Vex. We where on anomaly, i was near A special, James just out of the diamond tunnel. The Vex' was firing all around me and took 2 clips to do the job. Around the rest of the match the Vex' managed but the struggle was real to kill in one clip. I guess if the cone for firing was a little tighter it may help enough, maybe a 0.05% damage buff to keep the numbers men (and women) happy. Its sad that this weapon, forgetting its past, future or present, is mainly obsolete. The look and sound drifting into a void of lost history.

2 RespuestasEditado por SKILES85: 9/17/2016 2:39:56 PMP&T should be better. I'd use it if a precision kill granted invis for a short time. I've always thought the perk was useless when shooting it makes it just like every other sniper. In the time it takes to go invis, I could have just shot the enemy.
-
I'm all for a "siva" mychoclast, arc damage and "infected", but still primary and vex looking.
-
Editado por IJN Akagi: 9/19/2016 6:44:42 PMI LOVE the Vex. I like how in HoW, the exotics got more exotic, but the Vex is the original, and the best. I don't want to leave it behind, and even in Destiny 2, I'll still keep it. (as well as the Vision of Confluence)

For me I want a year 2 pocket infinity. That weapon has beenthrough the same pain vex has and had a rep worse then thorn back in the day.

Editado por Th3 p1s7oL: 9/18/2016 10:29:06 PMLol...dont you get it? Everything that made the game great in year one is being dissolved.... get with the program...lol, seriously though i agree, the vex was insanely hard to get & for them to just forget about it is pretty lame! All they need to do is take away the elemental damage & it would fit in fine with the entire game! But....thats bungie... " lets forget aboit what made the game great in year 1 & focus on scrubs complaining about pvp"

Editado por Moinkstein: 9/18/2016 10:24:12 PMNECROCHASM E C R O C H A S M Back in year three please
-
That gun still exists? After all the crap done? Wow.
-
Universal remote? Now it s a normal shotgun but in your primary slot= useless
-
The vex just needs to go back to the time of house of wolves, it was the most balance then. It would go against the thorn and red death and was not op in any way. Its the coolest gun ever created in destiny and bungie just doesn't care anymore. Why bother?
-
2 RespuestasI have been using it in the strikes this week for small arms and solar burn makes it usable and the problem I have with it is the reserve ammo and the stability. I run out of ammo all the time with it. It is like an auto rifle but with only 100 rounds in reserve. And the stability sucks. When I'm shooting it, it goes all over the place, making me have to use it like a scout rifle against anything at range :3
-
Would love to see the Mythoclast brought up in power once more.... How about it Bungie?
-
rip the vex ;-;
-
Yes please.
-
I do miss face melting with the Vex like no other :(

2 RespuestasEditado por Swiftlock: 9/17/2016 3:30:49 AMNot sure why you're dissing the Invective. Being able to regenerate ammo in a meta where Bungie is trying to stifle the amount of special ammo in a match is a massive advantage. Plus, an Invective can quickly obliterate enemy players using Radiance, Arc Blade, Juggernaut, and a bunch of other annoying stuff that the Party Crasher can't kill in a single hit.
-
7 RespuestasRes death is far better than hawksaw as a person who mains red death And invective can regen ammo unlike part crasher
-
5 RespuestasLongbow is not better than P&T, not in your wildest dreams. P&T is a sniper rifle, with scout rifle characteristics.
