The link goes to the article where Andrew House says the PS4 Pro will stop gamers from going to PC by offering the highest graphical quality...
So... This guy should probably not make idiotic claims like this

-
2 RespuestasSo is he trying to basically start another annoying Xbox vs. Playstation vs PC flame war?
-
1 RespuestaI thought their dumbest one was about backwards compatibility. "We have a console that plays PS3 games. It's called the PS3."
-
13 RespuestasEditado por Ruthven: 9/15/2016 12:33:14 PMYou know what else might keep people from going to PC? ALLOWING US TO INSTALL MODS, YOU DUMB -blam!-ING BASTARDS. Am I a little tender about not being able to play mods for Fallout 4 and/or Skyrim.. A bit. ;)

4 RespuestasPLAYBOX HAV BEST GRAFIK!!!
-
Sony thinks they can ride the 'best graphics' horse for eternity.

30 Respuestas>Consoles moving into 4k, puffing their chests like it's impressive >They could have done this years ago >PC is at 16k >Peasants will still furiously jerk their nip overlords off until they lose nerve functionality
-
For some strange reason they forgot to include a 4k blu ray player, I heard.
-
17 RespuestasI don't think Sony realise that we are a lot more educated with specs and marketing tactics then we were back in 1990... Educated gamers become picky hence the picky community.

7 RespuestasEditado por Dozer: 9/16/2016 7:32:07 PMMicrosoft's plan is allow for a PC-like console wherein owners can upgrade the box over time. Nice idea, but, really, people would be better off at that point just building an actual PC. If for no other reason, and there are a plethora I assure you, than this: any PC builder can tell you that when you have to buy proprietary parts for a PC, your wallet is going to cry bloody tears. Even a mid-range PC can be built for the cost of what this generation of consoles were priced at new, and well outperform said consoles. Many people just don't want to hassle with upgrading and building or are intimidated by those aspects. (Based on my experience working in the IT field and listening to their reasoning behind a console over a PC.) 2 RespuestasPC is objectively better than consoles. The fact that these console corporations are trying to pander to the lowest common denominator more and more shows that the console industry is dying.
-
5 RespuestasThe generation of the spec battle... Where 90% of people who play video games don't know or care every last detail of every part in their box that lets them play games but will continuously argue that the box they own has more magic in it

7 RespuestasNot idiotic at all. Coming from a former PC gamer. I switched to PS 4 from PCs have reached a point of diminishing returns. The differences in processing power and memory just don't translate into substantial differences in the average gaming experience that the two platforms can give. Unless you want to do things like gaming in 4K, or running triple screens. Which the vast majority of gamers aren't interested it. Also PS4 Pro is offering the power that they are with a shitload of convenieces, and at a price point that would be very difficult to beat even if you resorted to building yoru own PC. Which again...the majority of gamers aren't going to do. So for pure gaming, the case for PCs isnt' that strong anymore. Their real selling point is the fact that you can use them for tasks OTHER than gaming for the money.
-
6 RespuestasHey lets go play fallout 4 and enjoy all of the mod- oh thats right. The superior ps4 doesnt have mod support
-
1 RespuestaYou'd think with claims like that the Pro would at least be on par with mid-range PCs.
-
13 RespuestasThe majority of pc gamers act like they have these godlike machines when in reality the rigs they have are no more powerful than current gen consoles. If consoles can get a solid 60fps gaming then I'm all for that.
-
13 RespuestasHe must be kidding. They know that the Scorpio will be almost double the Pro and even that isn't going to touch a GTX 1080p with an overclocked I7.
-
1 RespuestaLmao and this is the downfall of Sony. Hint.....their desparate. I own both consoles don't worry lol
-
2 RespuestasDamn half my screen is ads
-
3 RespuestasI feel like they should have went for 60 fps instead of 4k. 4k won't be mainstream until Comcast starts broadcasting in it.
-
1 RespuestaWell, will there be an official mouse and keyboard controller option then?

Sony always says stupid things. It's a lot harder for them to be successful marketing wise when they don't have an easy out. I love some of their exclusive titles. that being said everything else about them sucks. Right down to system design. And no. i'm no MS fanboy. I grew up on nintendo. and despite some of their short comings in the past few years they still pump out some good games. And still have that nice atmosphere about them. MS is whatever. They are not bad. but not good either. I play for exclusives and friends. I'd actually be on PC if I could afford to make my dream computer and all my favorite exclusives went to pc.
-
Editado por Hippo_Legacy: 9/15/2016 1:01:00 PMYea this is a ridiculously stupid statement. If people only care about high fidelity graphics then pc is the way to go. Sony doesn't need to be trying to hang on to people who were probably in the wrong spot to begin with. I mean there are 40 million ps4 players out there and these guys are trying to hang on to the what, like ten thousand that switch over to pc gaming? Sony has completely bungled this pro launch. And then they went and pissed off Bethesda, hopefully the next elder Scrolls game isn't Xbox only.
-
The whole marketing around the PS Pro is stupid, they should not focus on 4k, the focus should have been on 1080 with good performance and then if you have a 4k HDR TV and don't mind playing a slideshow, then you also are able to play an upscaled 4k. 4k TV's are not that common yet, sure in a few years but not now, it is to early to focus the whole console around 4k. By the time they become the standard they can release the PS5 with proper 4k and 4k blueray capability. I just want to play Bloodborne at 60FPS I don't care about 4k yet.

4 RespuestasI could care less, as long as it looks good I'm fine with it pc gaming can be a chore I like having a box that I can throw disks at for 5-10y and not have to have a fcukin electronics degree to upgrade every 6 months to keep up. that said, pc is far superior, I just don't feel like spending the time or money on it
