The hardware on the ps4 is technically better, but the free stuff from xbox gold, the indie game section, and the mod support make up for that in a heartbeat. I wish I didn't buy a ps4 now that I know this stuff.

While the hardware of the PS4 is slightly better than the Xbox One, OP is specifically referring to Xbox Live versus PSN. In most tests from the linked article, Xbox Live performs better and faster.
