Can we end SBMM already?
Skill based matchmaking absolutely kills Crucible for me. Aside from its tendency to throw me in with red bar players, who are either unstoppable super killers on the enemy team or people ton laggy to shoot anyone on my team, it loves throwing me against players who are well above my skill rating, which leads to lots of unfun losses where I frequently leave, because it even makes Mayhem unfun, sweaty garbage. Previously this only happened if i teamed up with friends who are much better than me in crucible, which while still unfun was marginally more acceptable. I'm not looking to roll every game, but I should be playing against people at my skill level to a degree. I shouldn't be fighting my way to an even kd while losing by 2-3k points every game. Nevermind i have nearly no chance of finishing any crucible related quests, like to finally finish Imprecation or get a chaperone.
I really don't care about winning or going even or better really, but crucible games for me are sweaty unfun games that give me zero interest in playing the game.
SBMM delenda est.

I have yet to witness SBMM. Almost every time I go into Crucible, the other players in the match have either incredibly high K/D or incredibly low K/D, and either play like they have no thumbs, or like they play this game 24/7. Almost nobody I ever play with have skills equal or similar to mine, in any game mode, whether it be in Iron Banner, or in basic Clash.

3 RespuestasNot to be a jerk, but SBMM is actually keeping you in easier matches. Your KD is around .75 it seems, so SBMM (in theory) would keep you in matches with people around that skill, and away from people that are crazy good. Your post actually encourages SBMM the way it's worded. SBMM gets worse and worse the better the player you are.

My main issue with SBMM is the balance. It seems that SBMM provides as you said, people of higher skill levels on the opposition, but incompetent teamates. Lik wut?

6 RespuestasI'm freaking tired of being put in a game where I can end with a 5.75 kd and top of the leader boards one game then turn around be in the hardest matches of my life can't get anything going dieing every ten seconds and look like the worst player on the team I just don't get it, and it's completly irritating. I just want to play for fun and entertainment and not end my night all pissed off because of the dumbass sbmm.

It just doesn't make sense to implement sbmm in a casual pub playlist. Especially in a game that has struggled with connection consistency since its launch, to put it mildly. I left the game shortly after house of wolves dropped in part because of sbmm in public playlists, i can't believe they have not removed this completely yet. I hold that sbmm hurts everyone. Even the players at the far left side of the bell curve. It may seem like a good idea to let someone walk the easy path with no bumps along the way, but it turns out your are actually hurting people in the long run not showing them ANY adversity.

SBMM really took the fun out of PVP for me. I stopped playing for a couple months to play new games and when I came back I was put into games with people who are a much higher skill level than me. A casual and ranked system would be a good fix imo.

I think SBMM should go into effect in certain gamemodes, like elimination or something. Even then it still needs tweaking lol it is buggy and ineffective at best.
