So I just got The Swarm last night. Finally. One of my favorite legendary MGs... and then I died a little inside when I realized, with heavy ammo boots on, I could hold 88 rounds. That's it.
Bruh....
Edit: Seems like 99.9% of you guys are on board! (Well. For PvE. But let's be real. Everyone knew that this was a PvE post ;) )

Also. Stop bending PvE over and doing naughty things to it to "benefit" PvP. Please. I'd heart the hell out of that.

You had to take a game that is currently running on consoles with 8GB of memory to work with....and cram it down to work on last-gen consoles that had as little as 256 MB (1/32nd) to work with. There are probably TONS of programming compromises and shortcuts that Bungie had to resort to in order to get this game to work on PS3 and XB360 So odds are ammo got nerfed in both PVP and PVE BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY COULDN'T SEPERATE THEM. PvP clearly needed to have something done to reduce the special weapon spamming. They had tried for most of the first year and half to address the issue by reducing the frequency of special ammo drops. But that wasn't enough, and they eventually had to reduce the amount of ammo in each "brick".... ..and that was the first time that a PVP ammo nerf impacted PVE. So odds are===once again====there is a good reason for that. Probably that if they were going to reduce one, they had to reduce both, because of the way the game has been coded.

Are we only talking about heavy ammo? Because I remember fondly the days when Queenbreaker's bow could hold more than just three mags. I miss those days...

You can only hold 110 with QT machine gun boots and heavy chest. 185 with zombie 185 with barons 205 with sga

Atleast this time around were going to have gjallarhorn , spindle , raze lighter and sleeper to use . Malice is pretty much useless now that it doesn't work with overshields .

2 RespuestasAgreed. It BARELY made any change to pvp. Yet in pve we had 33% wiped off our reserve ammo capacity and we just lost 7% of the damage on our snipers.

Snipers & shotguns are used as primaries, and the ammo drops aren't random because you know when the next ammo box is coming so you're ready for it. It negatively affected PvE though because just like everything else, Bungie made ammo drop randomly. Nothing was worse than being in the Taken Cabal PoE with multiplying Taken Psions and no ammo anywhere & you already used a synth. Or just one little green box in a sea of Taken spamming Captains... Why they keep giving PvE the shaft is beyond me. Most of the balancing done for PvE has been really unnecessary and made the game less fun and more tedious...

I miss having.lots of machine gun ammo... That was back when I used them and now I only.use rockets because I never have machine gun ammo.
