I recently started a smurf account to see what the low end of the crucible skill was like. Stop catering to these players that don't know how to read, duck, jump, run, shoot! These are the people that cry about every damn thing in crucible...getting teabaged, emotes, guns, grenades, supers. They just complain because they are bad and don't want to put in the effort to get better. I'm an average crucible player, but this mechanism has to be evaluated. Spurious correlations, Reddit whiners, devs being butt hurt have caused the game to become annoying in many respects. The ToM/Bubble combo is an example of the community being strategic in a way the designers didn't consider. That's on the designers...not the community. You'll never out-think the player base. NEVER. That's a rule in game design. Hunters were at the top of the k/d pool. Where is the actual class comparison that is adjusted to player base in each subclass. Sunsinger burn was fine where it was. Who the hell complained about tripmines? Titan shoulder charge was annoying, but easily countered. Nightstalker smoke was fine, hammers are fine. Bladedancer is fine. Supers are meant to be OP...it's in the damn name. You're already protecting this crying community with SBMM they don't need any more protection. Class, subclass, gun selections are based upon risk/reward. I play every subclass in the game...comfortably. Not well, but decently enough to feel the differences in the game play. Please, for the sake of the game and the players—just stop. Stop dumbing down the game. Stop catering to the loud, poorly skilled players. Stop listening to the Reddit spergs that block everyone that teabags them. Dumbing down the game doesn't help anyone. It's the equivalent of 'No Child Left Behind' in this community...which is founded on competition. Listening to Reddit is like using urban dictionary as if it were a legitimate information source. Some of the changes have had merit, but many others are handing out participation trophies to bad players.
