Depressing rise of iron
Who else is sad that rise of iron is only for next gen consoles?
I dont understand why Bungie had to go and cut off Xbox 360 and PS3. Its actually pretty depressing for me, im a recent college graduate, i have absolutely no extra money, and destiny was my go to game to relax, and it is also my one and only game i own. Only thing i did with my xbox was play destiny and watch netflix, and ive gotten every expansion expect for dark below the day it came out and i was really looking forward to rise of iron and the concept, it looked really cool, but then i found its only for xbox one and PS4, which isn't really fair for those of us that don't have the money to buy a new console. All im asking for is to figure out a way to bring rise of iron to the 360 i would be eternally greatful, and plus bring it over would mean more profit for Bungie and Activision

9 RespuestasLet me break it down to you, it's basically asking for Bungie to get Skyrim to run at a good capacity on a PC from the early 2000s. It's just not happening.

Your eternal gratitude? Well shit, I'll bet they'll jump right on it. I know that sounds dickish, but I'll tell you what: as a college graduate, you may not have a lot of money, sure. But, you either live with your parents currently or you have just enough to afford rent, electricity, and internet service. A part time job with ungarnished wages will take roughly 2-4 weeks to get you enough to get an Xbox One with a 360 trade-in. Think about it for a bit.

Ok I'm going to explain this without being a total ass PS3 and Xbox 360 are 11 years old they are previous generation consoles that can't handle what destiny is capable of ok? Bungies team consisted of two groups Group 1) Worked on bugs,fixes, and content for Xbox 360 and PS3. Group 2) Worked on bugs, fixes, and content for Xbox One and PS4. Bungie stopped working on previous Generation consoles because of outdated software and limitations that the consoles couldn't live up to. Now that Group 1) and Group 2) can become (1 Group) things will look better for new Generation consoles for bugs, fixes, and content will be attended to faster. I'm sorry but you had 3 years to get a new console and 1 year at least since the ROI announcement to figure out your plans you can get a water jug out and put money in it and save your money to get a new console if not then oh well Bungie is not going to change their minds you need to upgrade Thankyou for your time and have a nice day. #IHaveSpoken!!!!!!!

1 RespuestaI am sad because I was playing destiny on ps3 since beta and switched only before the taken king I think BUT... its time to let go. There was plenty of time to upgrade. The literally said why they did it. It was not possible to expand the universe on old gen without deleting previous content.

4 RespuestasIt's not going to happen unfortunately. Legacy consoles just don't have the processing power to support rise of iron and the content going forward. Bungie has said if they were to bring ROI to legacy consoles, it would have been a shell of what the final product actually is because legacy consoles don't have the juice to run it. Bungie has had to keep EMOTES off of legacy consoles because of memory constraints on them. Along with that, less than 10% of destiny players were on legacy consoles when ROI was first introduced. It would be like trying to run a brand new PC game on a 10 year old computer running Windows XP. It does suck, but the legacy consoles are 10 years old now. Technology has advanced tremendously since that time. Developers need to move forward and utilize that technology to the fullest to progress their games and its content. In order to do that, legacy consoles needed to be dropped.

I think I kind of agree with you. Even though I am on PS4. Bungie did say that there wouldn't be switching PLatforms till Destiny 2. They kind of lied. So yea I agree with you.

Money is all that's cared about in all facets of life nowadays. Just try saving up bit by bit then buy a used console man. Good luck. 1 RespuestaAnd here I thought these posts had finally run their course... Unfortunately, the PS3 and Xb360 systems are incapable of running RoI, at least not without removing a whole heap of content including things from previous dlc (as it is the gyroscope on Touch of Malice is static on last gen while it spins on current gen). I believe it is something to do with those systems available RAM. That, coupled with less than 10% of destiny's playerbase playing on last gen, is why Bungie are ceasing any further updates or dlc on those consoles. Yes, it sucks, but it is what it is.
